God this is a nightmare, recent events have made me so glad my fiancee and I kept our wedding date for later this month (we cancelled our actual ceremony/party back in April but still really wanted to get legally married)

 

Really, voter supression has ALWAYS been the republican strategy, and we've always had to factor that in. The only difference now is that Trump's administration is more blatant about it, but at the end of the day, there's no way they can fail to overcome a 10+ point polling deficit, and then claim to have won legitimately.

 

They're still going to do exactly that, though.

 

I'm just glad that our republican governor is the one who decided to open up absentee ballots and encouraged it for anyone. Would be a bad look if he tried to fuck with that in any way

 

Cool, our federally funded dialysis clinic can’t order gloves currently because they’re all on back order. I wonder why they can’t get any from the super stockpile?

Fuck that's scary. My fiance and I found luck with some PPE on a hair salon supplier since she's a stylist, but looks like they don't sell gloves anymore...

My father and I were actually just discussing this weekend if Trump would still make fun of Biden for wearing a mask, make fun of Biden for not getting COVID, or both. We agreed on both. We were right.

 

With all this shit happening on top of the SCOTUS debacle, I'm mostly disturbed that our government still will not and have not agreed to AT LEAST send people another stimulus check. They won't even give people crumbs. That shit is messed up.

 

This is 1000% Trump’s plan in the next couple weeks before the election. Last ditch effort to snag some votes in exchange for money.

 

He can bribe me all he wants. I’m still voting for Biden.

Yup. I think the only question is, does he go for a big stimulus to really bring the voters around? A small token one?

I could also seem him pushing for a stimulus but only for states that have reopened to some standard that lets him fuck over blue states trying to remain responsible.
