Wanna be fascist regimes learning from wanna be fascist regimes, what else is new?
Well this is terrifying
The short answer is, basically, the bureaucracy. A lot of our government institutions can continue to function even with a terrible president meddling in shit. They will function less efficiently or worse, but they continue on none the less. Add in a complacent population that is used to things being 'normal' in their everyday lives, and there ya go.

Fuck ICE and their bullshit detainers.
It was very over the top cheesy in addition to the Sorkin neoliberal paradise thing, but not gonna lie I really enjoyed Daniels in that roll. Thought he pulled it off well.
It's @David87's favorite show!
That show came up in here a while back and I have never recovered from what I saw.
Somewhat hot take: if that show had come out when West Wing did and vice versa, newsroom would be the beloved Sorkin show and people would have crapped all over West Wing after two or three seasons for being out of touch and ridiculously naive.
Def believe the times when they came out played into how people perceived them.
Best political show is Veep don't @ me
Parks and Rec gets my nod.

He said he wanted to make Studio 60 because he felt SNL at the time didn't know how to do comedy right. Except any humor was devoid in the Studio 60 sketches.
