Have I just seen too many cop shows, or isn't it just obvious that they render a guilty verdict on the ones they all agree to and a not guilty one on the ones they can't??

I don't get her defense saying she wanted to create a safe space for discussion. Like if she wants to ban cops or the alt right I get that. Press though I don't understand.

That aside it's still a real bad look on her part at face value.

So have they decided on 17 of the 18 counts? I hope this is done today.

In federal court, a jury verdict must be unanimous.

They can render a verdict on the charges they agree on and the charges they can’t agree on, the judge will declare a mistrial. And the State can bring those charges again in front of a new jury if they want.

I think it makes a lot of sense though, she wanted a space that people could share their stories and ask questions without being on the news or in articles. maybe they don't want to be viral they just want to hear her proposals for her position.

they could have questions about undocumented family members and maybe the press isn't sensitive enough to that.

I think that the "liberal media" needs to stop complaining about this when they don't give a shit about the $10,000 a plate private events.

I'm from New York. No, not the city.

    Is this unusual then?

Not at all. He is basically saying what I was saying. But usually, when the jury comes back in, the judge would ask: Did you reach a unanimous decision as to all of the counts? And the jury usually says yes.

Here, we already know that isn’t true. So the judge won’t ask that question.

  24. Does that mean it’s going to be a mistrial?
