  1. More people need to explain this to the “but muh freedom” republicans. They’re all charlatens.

Feel like Castro might've been able to pull off a dark horse run in a smaller primary field, but with so many candidates is gonna be a tough task even just getting enough eyes on his campaign.

Castro and Beto should be fighting over who's gonna run for Senate

Probably a big reason why he was first to announce...pressure Beto to choose the senate run, and then campaign together to help boost his own popularity

  8. Gain name recognition and then win that Texas senate seat.

Would be pretty amazing if beto is the vp on the ticket and that helps push Castro to beat Cornyn

I'd rather have Castro as a senator for 6 years than beto, he's a little more progressive than beto from what I've seen.

I just read a heartbreaking article about workers in a rural domestic abuse shelter attempting to still provide some of the services and help to the women who come to them despite their funding being cut off due to the shutdown. On one hand, I feel like you want to drag the people responsible for this shutdown to a place like that and force them to look these people in the eye…

…buuut then, on the other hand, I realize that they’d most likely take a look around at a place like that and wonder how they missed already axing the entire thing to begin with. ‘We’re still funding this shit!? How’d we miss this?? Is that organic peanut butter on that PB&J???’

I don't know what is more infuriating, watching rich old white men on TV pretend that they don't understand how marginal tax rates work, or the fact that there are a large number of people who watch that on Fox News and fall for that horseshit. Grover Norquist A) pretending that the plan is to take 70% of rich people's money and B) comparing that to slavery is insane.

Also - and I like Anderson Cooper - but that face he made was PRICELESS.
