I fucking hate moving and have to do it for at least the 10th time in my life this weekend but I’m gonna have my very own 2 bedroom condo and my landlords are my parents and even they said it’s mine and my rent is basically just to pay it off, instead of a mortgage with a bank it’s just my parents lol. Extremely privileged to have this kind of support coming off of yet another horrible relapse earlier this summer but without it I would unfortunately be dead without a doubt, it sucks the government can’t offer these kinds of resources to addicts in need and while my parents are obviously well off they aren’t absolutely insanely rich, their house isn’t even close to what you’d call a mansion, they’re just willing to sacrifice their money for my betterment in the long run and on a society wide scale it would make sense for the government to invest their resources for the betterment of society in the long run instead of wasting money on either incarceration or extremely lacking treatment centers and programs that have abysmal success rates because they refuse to address peoples material needs (outside of the very corrupt and frankly unsafe system of sober living). Just has me thinking how much has been handed to me and how we could really make a difference in this battle society wide if all addicts were afforded their same needs being met like I’ve had mine.

 

Gritty would actually make a great king.
