That's not what I mean. You're being incredibly obtuse and ignorant and yes this is dismissive. I have no idea why you're making these comparisons and jumping to weird conclusions.

 

They didn't need Democratic support. They had the majority. Expand Medicaid. It works. Call that fix Trumpcare and take all of the credit. I really don't care if we have a better system.

One of your arguments is that we ignore the real fear people have of sharia law in America, no? My point is, in our context, the reason I, personally, wouldn't answer such a question is that it is predicated on right-wing scaremongering. Obviously, I think we should critique theocratic tendencies, which the left does, but not on the terrain of the right, which is what the entire discourse of sharia law is rooted in.

 

And I addressed that. Lol.

 

If someone approaches me with this sort of argument, I can understand why they believe as they do, but not indulge their reactionary rhetoric, which helps white supremacist notions of Islam being particularly bad, which is where the points of comparison come in.
