This infuriates me. I was a healthy adult at 20. And was not insured. Then ended up with a chronic debilitating illness. The first bill I opened was for $75,000 for one month of dialysis because my Medicare had not kicked in yet. THANK WHATEVER YOU BELIEVE IN that End Stage Renal Disease is one of the very few illnesses Medicare will cover early. I want to tweet this dude so bad and quote that first tweet. I'm not spending the 14 hours trying to find it though.

 

This is really just sad. It's weird that people don't have any framework for connecting politics to their actual lives
