idk where to post this but could use some work advice. I recently started a position in November as a direct manager of 5 employees, but in a larger team environment. My boss's boss just okay'd the HR rec to hire 8 more employees under me. How do I go about asking for a raise? I already felt underpaid from my initial offer and wanted to ask for more money before I even found out about this. They're more than doubling my direct reports. Help?
I'm still so new to the position, normally there's a 6 month turnaround before you can ask for a promotion, new position, etc. I'm on month 4. Afraid my boss will say "what else?" and not accept that as reason enough.
I think it's still worth a shot. I was in a somewhat similar situation and asked for (and received) a raise in month 3. It may not be that great of one but a prorated raise would still be worth it.
Yeah, worst case scenario is they say "no" and then you ask again at the 6 month mark. That seems like a substantial amount of additional work though.
I legit get so mad at the ending. Idk wade around for more stuff to float on! Idk take shifts on the thing! Do something!!
The logical side of me is like "Yeah let him on to the furniture with me" but there's another side of me that says "I mean, I just met him and there's Academy Awards on the line here"
Another thing that made me mad was when he was dead holding her hand she's like I'll never let go Jack and then let's go. I realize she was trying to save herself but why was he sinking? Don't dead bodies float especially in cold water? So she would have had to push him down haha It's so stupid but I think that everytime I see it.
Also how messed up is the premise of turning a tragedy into a romance, Titanic is basically a love story set during 9/11
I mean like how dense/in denial can these rich people be when half the ship is almost sunk and this dude is like I'd like a brandy when you get the chance!
Besides the obvious deaths I think the most brutal was either the smokestack falling on Fabrezio or the person who falls off and hits the propeller. I'm watching Titanic if you can't tell. It's my favorite movie.
some lady on the radio was doing a little talk about the movies and she proceeded to talk about how hyped she was for beauty and the beast. I was like ok yeah cool I get that. She then proceeds to tell the audience not to spoil it on social media and I went .......
Still don't know what that is. I assume it's Titanic based on DiCaprio and Winslet. If so, yeah never seen it
Leo was so beautiful. I remember as a teen the first time I saw Romeo + Juliet I was like omg he looks like an actual angel
