The subject matter is intense, fucked up, and probably shouldn't have been ok for kids to watch. That said, I think it's the realest cartoon Disney ever made. The attention to detail is astonishing, it pioneered a lot of animation techniques, and the soundtrack is unforgettable. To this day, I see and/or think new things every time I watch it, So I can't help but love it.....but I totally get it being scary. Stromboli, the Coachman, and Monstro are the stuff of nightmares. Edit:just realized that my early love for Pinnochio graduated into a love of all things Stephen King.
