I'm a little relieved I didn't buy a Coachella ticket because going from Beyoncé to Lady Gaga is a super downgrade to me.
A professional backup dancer for Beyonce being on Dancing With The Stars seems unfair as amazing as she is
I've always found shows like The Voice super weird just for the fact that they use professional talent.
Yeah; I remember there were a few times that American Idol kicked people off once they were a decent ways into Hollywood rounds because they eventually found out they had prior record deals. Like, Casadee Pope being allowed is weird, and there have been a few others
That DTS cast is weird. IMO someone like Simone Biles or Nancy Kerrigan are also at unfair advantages. It's also really mean to everyone else one the cast to have someone like Rashad Jennings be considered a star
Back to this topic, because I couldn't think of the name earlier, but eg daily (the voice of Tommy from Rugrats and Buttercup from Powerpuff Girls...and Phoebe's friend in an episode of Friends) was on it. And she even had a record deal in the 80s. Dia from Meg and Dia was on it (haven't heard those names in a while) 5 Semi-Famous Singers Who've Auditioned for 'The Voice'
EEEEEK!!!! I'm getting my wisdom teeth pulled out tomorrow so I guess I'll be listening all drugged up.
Another rant about work. The other day I was stuck with someone who didn't know what they're doing. As always. I was trying to explain some important details to them and they kept interrupting me mid sentence and it really pissed me off. The other person I was working with pretty much took an hour break. I have to talk to them about it next time I see it to make sure it doesn't happen again otherwise I'd have to report it to my supervisor. Also this same person made a personal phone call not on their break, again I have to talk to them about it and say if they do it again I have to report it. The agency people think they can get away with anything because they don't work for my company but my company can "fire" them from coming back. I'm at a point where I kinda have a "short fuse" with some people from the agency because the majority of them don't listen. A lot of the time I just walk away so I don't go off on them.
Tomorrow is my birthday and my grandma sent me flowers today. She is seriously an angel!!! I can't stop crying
Tbh I'd find it weird if they marketed themselves as American Idol did. AI seemed more about the angle of finding total unknowns and creating superstars. The Voice always marketed themselves as a show about 2nd chances and ppl who were so close but never quite got where they wanted
My issues with The Voice is just that now it seems like it's more about who had the saddest sob story with an alright voice. Also there's no real incentive to win anymore, same thing happened with AI after a few seasons
I know all shows are scripted to a point but I hated on the Voice how the judges would pretend to remember someone who was re-auditioning. bs y'all were told who they are in advance and I refuse to believe you'd remember them. Maaaaybe like one or two but legit like everyone who re-auditioned??? IDTS!!! But I can't be bothered to keep track of when Christina is on it anymore so I stopped watching it anyway.
