Work parking lot is pure ice so I fell. like legit fell onto the ground dramatically lmao. if I was older or something I would have gotten like really hurt. like I'm fine cause I'm healthy and all but we have a lot of people with difficulties who come here so I'm like wtf why isn't there gravel or salt???
Lol yeah like there's an employee parking lot and then you have to cross over to the student drop off lot. they shoveled the snow from the drop off lot against our parking lot so we have to take a big step to avoid stepping in a giant pile of snow but then I just stepped into a giant sheet of ice instead! like someone should have put more thought into this lol!
I forgot I traded shifts today and woke up 2 hours early. Went back to sleep, didn't hear my alarm and wound up being half an hour late. All of that and the dude called out anyways.
my grandma fell outside of her job the day before thanksgiving and landed right on her face/shoulder and when she told me what happened she said she was scared to get up at first cus she was nervous she might've hurt her hip or something (shes 76) and some guy walked by and shes laying there (he doesnt even notice somehow) and she says up to her "Can you help me?" and she's got a busted lip/face scratches and shit. luckily she was okay, her shoulder is still bothering her though, she's getting that checked out soon, can't lift it too high. winter makes me nervous for the older ppl I care about cus of ice like that.
my dad had knee replacement surgery yesterday. he got home today, not being able to move much, and is laying on the couch now. he can't bend his knees at all so my mom and i have to help him do everything. so he lays down and asks to remove his shorts. my mother does it and what do you know, his balls are just hanging out. what a day
I decided to show up an hour early this time and I got my ticket to moana now I don't know what to do for an hour. also apparently they got new recliners for all the seats and I'm like wooo.
My rm is back and so are her big dogs. they're actually not as bad as I remember. I just want them to stay off the couches. they're my rm's couches so I'm prob out of line but I hate not being able to just chill and watch a movie cause her dogs make the couches filthy. they shed like crazy and she never bathes them. like once I touched one of them just for a sec and my hand smelled so foul I gagged. I put chairs on the couches so they can't lay on them tonight. I feel bad they have to sleep on the hardwood but I turned the heat up for them and offered to buy them a dog bed!
Best fight I've ever seen in public was a woman screaming at a dude and they were standing in the parking lot near this decorative shrubbery and she grabbed the top of one of the little trees and pulled it back like a catapult and let go. She got him square in the face. We had been changing a flat tire and trying not to get caught eavesdropping but we burst out laughing.
when i was in high school a girl put another girl through a gatorade machine. also one time a dude tried to jump my friend with a bat once and all our friends rushed him. me and my friend pulled up coming back from burger king literally right as this was happening and without thinking ran out of the car to help/jump in. didn't realize until after it was handled i was swinging on the guy while still holding the bag of hamburgers.
I'm convinced that all radio show calls in are fake. Local radio station does a weekly set up date and find out the details a few days later. Today's date had the guy asking the girl if she was down for a threesome with her roommate. The worst part about that was he asked the roommate before the girl. A few weeks ago the date involved a guy and girl going on a movie/dinner date. The crazy part was how the dude paid for everything with gift cards and the girl kept calling him ccheap.
Boring day here today, nothing really going on so I put the Christmas tree up finally. Still gotta decorate but I can already feel the benefit of a more upbeat mood just seeing it up. Christmas trees got a power like that I guess lol.
getting a half day of work on the threat of 1-3 inches of snow today. Coming from central NY, the snow response in Portland is still a bit foreign to me
Brave Little Toaster is and was one of my fav movies growing up. I was just rewatching it for nostalgia earlier and omg.. got reminded how much the Air Conditioner scene scared me as a kid when he shorted out. I use to hide behind the chair I was sitting in lmao. For those not familiar/want that trip down memory lane:
