Damn lotta people came out to this Carly Rae, Jamila, Mitski, Phoebe Bridgers thing. This line is long af. If I don’t make it in I will cry
I dropped my phone but it was working fine afterwards. Then I set it down to get ready for bed and came back and the screen wouldnt come on and I couldn't restart it and when I put my fingerprint on the home screen to unlock it started playing some sort of rainforest sound thing (which now I realize is from my sudoku game). I unplugged it from the wall and plugged it in laptop and the screen came back on, yay! But now my laptop isnt charging now wtf!! I am cursed. And clumsy. And confused
I'm convinced I'm blessed when it comes to electronics not breaking on me. I dropped my car in the parking lot of my work yesterday and it doesn't have a case and no damage at all. I was like praise be. The other day I was driving home and the car next to me just had their iPad sitting on their roof while driving and it didn't move and I was like how??? at the next light we told them and they took it off the roof.
I did drop this phone many times before actually cracking the screen and now apparently starting to break it. The case broke a while back and I need to get a new one cause I feel like it's only gonna take one more drop to put it out of its misery. This is actually the first phone where ive ever cracked the screen, tho luckily its up in the corner
@irthesteve since you are local LA resident, I am planning to go to Camp Flognaw Fest at Dodgers stadium. What is a decent hotel near stadium for uber/quick drive?
Airbnb has been awesome in my experience. And cheaper than hotels in some rly cool neighborhoods that wouldn't even have hotels. But then there's that thing where people can't find housing cause rich ppl are buying up properties for airbnb so u know... There's that.
yeah at least AirBnb doesn't hurt people in the same way Uber/Lyft do (drawing business away from corporate hotels is better than undercutting independent taxi drivers I guess) but it's still not good but the one time I stayed in one worked out pretty well for us.
I think my problem is I generally don't know how to look for a proper good Airbnb especially in a place like LA where everyone Airbnb now a days. I tend to stick to hotels just because I know them so well.
I know I can just revive the theme park thread but I'm lazy. I just found out a few days ago that the Jurassic Park ride is closing at Universal Studios because it's being changed into the Jurassic World ride. I'm very sad because I love Jurassic Park ride so much so now I'm trying to ask for a day off in a few weeks to go. I already got my tickets but like now I'm asking LA/Fresno friends to go and no one can so I'm like???? I normally don't mind but like theme parks feel weird to go alone.
Airbnb and hotels both have pros and cons. I research airbnbs and look at reviews because I wanna stay somewhere away from the host where they will leave me alone. Hotels are good for pools and hot tubs and fitness centers and free breakfast. Airbnb often provides snacks and things to cook with and provide games and u can stay at some unique places like I'll be in a tiny home next month. And u can often be in some cool areas of town. But sometimes the hosts wanna be up in your business or rent out basements with separate entrances so u can hear their footsteps, but I've done well from just reading reviews Basically airbnb is good if you want a nice local experience but hotels are good if you're having a quick trip and just want somewhere like consistent and familiar to rest your head
