I just saw kong again the other day so funny you mention that I also totally buy Samuel l Jackson going crazy.
Holy McJesus people here like their illegal fireworks and it's terrifying. They are so close I'm convinced we're all gonna catch fire
ya they're setting car alarms off here. and as someone who is extremely jumpy I feel like I'm gonna have a heart attack. This is why I can't watch horror movies in the theater - jump scares are fine but if it's super loud I lose my shit.
I'm in Colorado and someone on the block set off a firework and yelled "yeehaw" and I've never missed California more
It's wild. I thought we were just gonna watch the knotts fireworks from the front lawn and now I'm just here trying not to die. Nobody where I lives gaf about fireworks so I'm clutching my pearls rn
After the shooting happened here I know a lot of people are very not down with fireworks being randomly shot off.
I'm sitting on the couch watching baseball playing with my switch while everyone else is outside playing with fireworks. I am a total party animal.
we live in a culdesac and like all our neighbors are just chilling outside and watching our fireworks. I'm like hello you all can send us fireworks if you are going to do that???
It's pretty awesome here. Also on a cul de sac and the neighbors are all shooting off awesome fireworks and blasting Latin music and dancing in the street. Might make some margaritas before knotts starts their show
there are like 3 helicopters circling the town right now looking for any illegals. It's kinda crazy and cool.
New Portland arrivals find ‘Go back to California' graffiti my friend shared this and was like I hope this doesn't happen to me.
Bad attitude guy has to be extra sometimes and do unnecessary things. Things that cause confusion, which can cause errors. Like instead of wasting time putting unnecessary labels on things, go file. I spent time filing shit that he could do, but he just sits on his ass and watches netflix and nothing gets done. He also doesn't do half of the things correctly. But of course if I remind him, he'll flip his shit bc he doesn't like people telling him what to do. He seriously needs to chill bc reminders aren't telling someone what to do. Oh and day shift is blaming evening shift for shit again. I told the newer people just document everything and they can't talk. Plus if its someone who is a check, night should be checking on them. So really night is to blame not eveningThis has happened before, but also day shift is back to being lazy and not doing anything again so now my co-worker/friend is experiencing everything I once experienced. They have no room to talk
At knotts. Some lady thought my nephew was her kid and just started walking off with him! My great aunt and brother in law just kinda stood there and I was like omg! And grabbed him. I'm sure it was like a 2 second interaction so maybe they just froze but it seemed like she was walking off with him for 5 minutes!
This always annoys me. Like congrats on being born where you were born? Doesn't give you some special privilege to that place or state. Also giving Californians shit for moving to another state is funny cuz California is the most over-hyped state in America.
I kinda consider both California and oregon my home states so I'm just like... shrug about it all lol. I think a lot of Oregonians blame Californians for the price hike in living but a lot of ppl I hear complaining are gentrifiers themselves so I'm like meh.
I keep running into ppl who pronounce avocado with the first A differently. I've been noticing lots of ppl pronounce it like the A in avenue. I say it like the A in Auburn. Don't know if that's regional or not. Pls comment with how u say avocado lol. I tried pointing it out to a friend who says it like Avenue but she couldn't tell the difference Edited for clarity!!!
This is how I say it. I couldn't figure out a way to type it phonetically lol. I've been running into a lot of ppl who say the first A like the A in avenue, when I guess to me thst sounds more southern or like Wisconsin
