Well, apparently my classes start tomorrow? That was a nice....break?

 

I found out I can use Lyft where I live. Someone assure me I will not get murdered or something if I do this. I really don't want to miss my nephew's concert tomorrow but no one will drive 10 minutes to bring me to it so it looks like Lyft is my only option. My anxiety is already out of control thinking about it.

 

Anxiety cured! My brother is going to pick me up! And I feel so much better. I was so upset all weekend thinking about missing the concert. My nephew and I are really close and every time he sees me all he talks about is this concert and how he knows I'm going to LOVE it bc it is all Disney songs. So happy rn

 

My nephew is gone and I miss him already. He's so cute. He calls everyone his friend and he came over and was in love with my rm's Roomba vacuum. He called it Siri and tried to chase it around and talk to it and called "her" his friend. He'd run from it and come into my room screaming and slam the door behind him like he just escaped a zombie horde. He sang songs and danced around and is just so sweet. When he met my sister's prom date he was like "this is my new friend??" He just so cuuuuute. We're going on a trip next month and I'm excited to spend a few weeks with him tbh!

Thanks! It's tough cause I always end up living a few hours away from him and don't get to spend a lot of time together. They're supposed to move back this summer tho and I'm pumped! My depression also sometimes makes it hard for me to be as fun of an aunt as I'd like but I'm determined to win him over lol

 

Somehow in the two weeks I was off, I forgot how much I hate being in school.

 

Y'all my nephew's spring concert was so adorable my heart cannot take it!! As soon as the music for "Why Should I Worry?" started my nephew looked at me and had the biggest smile on his face. He knows that one is my fave so he was so excited he was singing it. And his little brother was so excited to watch him sing. It was sooo cute

I am admittedly awful at local politics. My ballot is due tomorrow and idk who these people are. Maybe like a sentence about them comes up when I google. I don't trust coworkers to clue me in cause they're ignorant af. The one person here I'd trust is out of the country. Idek! Espesh a town like this I'm like... is ur view on this person legit or is this some small town gossip nonsense

 

I know local elections are important but I'm always all " I don't think a comptroller even knows what they do"

 

Most of the stuff is unopposed anyway but for the few who aren't I'm struggling!

 

I was being a dummy at work today and a cart hit the bottom of my foot.

I now have a massive cut there and a limp.

I suck.

 

but also the climb came on at work today so it's a blessed day.

 

I'm the worst person at feigning interest in elections but wanting change. local voting is always the same so it feels so worthless. federal government feels like same options different words or angels at best, blah.

 

I hate how guilty I feel when I buy things even tho I know I'm good with my money. It's almost summer so I'll be unemployed for 2.5 months and I'm moving so I'm gonna be buying a lot and it's weighing on me! I like to think I'm not usually so cheap but I swear it's always someone's birthday or wedding or something that requires money like CHILL on the expensive milestones, people!!

 

Happens to me every break. Over spring break, Christmas break, summer break, I eventually tell myself that school isn't so bad and I was just being a huge wuss and then I don't get a day or two into the semester before I start wussing it up

 

Despacito hit #1 and I'm so proud. I mean it's not like Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee are nobodies or anything but it's the first Spanish/Spanglish #1 in forever so it feels like an underdog win (minus Bieber but meh the song was big before he was on it). It almost makes up for how Bailando should've been song of the summer when it came out but ppl have trash taste and paid it dust
