They get women drunk to sleep with them and/or refer to it casually in conversation, as well as pretend to be other people in order to sleep with women. That is a pretty standard definitions of rape, in my mind.

Lightning, check them out. They're actually really well done. Blackish is a really funny look in the life of a middle class, black family, but isn't particularly shy in speaking about the real issues of police brutality, class, gender, etc. There are some gross moments, but the good far outweighs the bad. The second is pretty much a standard sitcom, but it actually shows people with financial difficulties and hilarity ensues.

 

The Middle is my parents favorite show and they got me hooked. I still need to check out Blackish and Fresh Off The Boat tho.

 

yeah i was thinking about the financial aspects of both and that's what has interested me. thanks for the recs. i haven't bothered to watch sitcoms besides FOTB .

 

New Girl's 4th and 5th season are incredible. Tied with Veep for my current favorite sitcoms.

 

FOTB involves a young Asian boy who wants to be black. I can relate.

 

FOTB is my favorite. Blackish is good too
