Hey guys I've been on jury duty for what could be readily described as forever. What'd I miss?

i just wasted 4 whole minutes of my life trying to locally inject the hammer and sickle into the header of this site for a screenshot and i just can't get the width/height right. damn.

 

If you become familiar enough with a blog/newspaper/magazine/whatever and follow them on social media, a fun thing to do is to try and guess which of their writers wrote the article you're about to open. I've gotten pretty good at it with certain sites.

 

I don't know any writers by name whoops

 

I used to be able to tell when Drew wrote reviews because they would open with, OMG THIS IS THE BEST ALBUM IVE EVER HEARD

 

Similarly I can tell when he posts in NFL threads because it begins with "Fire McCarthy cut Aaron Rodgers we're the worst"

 

his impressions still do

i found alaska quite weird for a while, being the closest part of the US to Russia, it's flag has the, i think you call it the big dipper, plough constellation. that has been used in Ireland for a century now as a socialist/leftist icon.

 

Didn't know about that. It's been used a lot culturally. Over here it has always been a bear.

yeah i've looked into it before but when i was younger it was just odd to me cause i knew that socialism was a boogeyman in the us

 

I went running to clear my head even though it was hot AF. I'm trying to read but I can't stop thinking about this particular thing that is bugging me. I wonder how many homeless people commit misdemeanors just to get 3 warm meals and a dry place to sleep? I wonder about this bc we have 2 shelters and not everyone can get in. I couldn't possibly take on another project but I think I'm just going to get some info to see if maybe someone is already trying to get funding for another shelter or something.

It ties in with how I feel about mental health. The mentally ill are left untreated bc it's so expensive. If my parents didn't help me with all of my dr, therapy appointments, and meds I'd be on the street right now too.

I'm very sensitive and want to save the world and give everyone a chance to live a decent life. Dang this is the 2nd time I've ranted on here today. But y'all are my peeps so I feel comfortable word vomiting all over the place.

 

I've come to terms with not being able to make significant changes. On holidays I like to volunteer at VFW's and shit, but that's about it. The Army made me into such a pessimist.

 

I bring change to all your lives with every post I make on here.

 

I want it to be September. This entire album is constantly stuck in my head and I don't understand 90% of it.

 

Thankfully, no one at my branch won the gun raffle.
