I have no idea what has happened to me and I'm disappointed in myself. 50 pages feels like a trudge to me and when I was younger I could complete 500 pages in a few days.

 

Like there are three books near me and I haven't finished any of them.

I think it's probably a result of energy and picking up more difficult books as you grow, I definitely am the same way and especially during school. But I also read a ton of articles and news and Wikipedia pages and stuff so I think the nature of being a prolific reader has changed with tech.

It was sarcasm. The real answer is, the world wouldn't change very much because most people's professed beliefs are interpretations that suit the cultural milieu in which they were born. Few people will stop hating the LGBTQIA community or Muslims, or a woman who chooses to get an abortion. Different justifications will arise and that's pretty much it.
