One of my friends in California gets so pissed when she finds out I pay less than $20 for a tank of gas and have for most of my life.

 

In New York it fluctuates, a couple of years ago it was like $4 a gallon now it's like $2.50 I think

 

Where I'm at here, it's hardly below $3, for regular. The closer you get to the ocean/LA, it jumps up so much. We were around $4 as well not too long ago.

I remember taking a $20 into the station to pay for gas when I was a kid, and my parents would let me sometimes buy a candy with the change. Because they could fill up our crappy station wagon for less that $20, and have enough change for me to get a chick-o-stick. Those were the days.

 

We got to $4 around here briefly in fall 2008, when the economy crashed. I forget what other factors drove gas that high in those times.

 

I got gas for $1.99 a couple weeks ago in Macon. I cried tears of joy.

I paid $2.19 this morning not too shabby.

$2.37 for gas.

 

I paid $1.93 last week. Costco membership is worth the annual fee for the gas discount alone.

 

I got 2.29 last night which was pretty sweet. It was under $2 for a lot of this winter

 

I get ultimate so I always end up paying about $2.60 or so. It still costs under $20 to fill and lasts about two weeks.

 

Just signed up for a membership, mostly for printing my photos and so we can buy a million rolls of toilet paper so we never run out. I completely forgot about the gas discount.

 

If the one near you sells liquor, you're in luck, too. Their spiced rum and vodka is amazing and ridiculously cheap. And the chicken mozarella and kale burgers. And the spinach ravioli. I'm addicted to Costco food.

 

Gas is slightly less than 3 dollars here but I'd rather pay the high gas for the rest of my life than live outside of California

 

I've never been to a Costco.

 

I got a pair of Fila sneakers from Costco for $20. Worth it.

 

Wait, yours sells alcohol in the cafeteria part? Man, that sounds nice.

No. Like, some Costcos have their licenses to sell liquor by the bottle. Ours here only sells wine/beer, but one of the ones in Atlanta has it and my dad stocks up.

 

Pregnancy tests in bulk at Costco always make me sad

 

I have a Sam's Club membership

We can only get liquor at liquor stores in Texas anyway

 

I'm thinking it's kind of like Sam's but better?

 

OH, yeah, ours has a ton of alcohol for sale, haha. Aisles of bottles. It's basically my personal Garden of Eden.
