There was no alcohol at this wedding I went to last night. Really sad even though I knew I couldn't drink too much anyways since I had to drive home.

 

If quality of life was measured by how often people made fools of themselves on a daily basis I'd be so good at life.

I've finished all my freelance projects so I can fully enjoy Ellie with no stress tomorrow. And watch soccer for the rest of the day. Win/win/win.

 

I was sitting here thinking about how my whole K-12 career in school I had things to do until 10pm every night bc I was involved in so many things. I would die if I had to do all of that now. I had one breakdown when I was having a 1 on 1 principle dancer practice. I just laid on the floor and cried and she prayed over me and tried to talk me into quitting sports lol

 

Just reading about that stresses me out, I don't get how they expect kids to do sports and actually do homework too

 

Yeah one of the things I hate about school is how every teacher acts like their class is the only one you take, as if you don't have five or six other things to do. And they give you like two dozen questions to complete in 2 days. GG.

 

During basketball season we were required to lift weights during study hall so we couldn't use that time to do homework it was nuts. My sister was on bteam and since we were varsity and they couldn't get the gym after school she had bball practice at 6:30 each morning before school. That's so fucked up lol

 

I never did anything outside of school when I got to hs but it is ridic. My sister was on the dance team and practice was 545 before school and on weekends they'd have 9 and 12 hour practices.

 

My cousin has basketball practice all summer at 5:45am Monday-Friday.

 

I was on the robotics team at my high school and there were times we just stayed at the school. Probably 12 or so days out of the season (September-February).

 

I'm not worth a shit that early. When I have to go into work at 3am I'm really mean to people.

 

That... doesn't sound legal?

 

Lol I had a coworker get all salty cause I did no extracurriculars and she did a ton and we got into the same caliber school and have the same job and get paid the same in the end oop. I was never ambitious in that way

 

My one extra curricular never did shit for me because the year I qualified for nationals my family couldn't afford for me to go.

 

I faked all my extracurriculars. Well, I went to the first meetings to many and then stopped.

I was "in" spanish club, diversity club, young democrats club, young republicans club and then the National Honor Society (was in this one for real though).

 

A lot of people don't realize how expensive dance is.

 

Probs not. They were denied water breaks sometimes too and I know they're supposed to get those. They were #1 in the state so it was taken super seriously. They're not now tho and haven't won state in years and now every time I drive by the sign that says we haven't won in years I do an ugly cackle cause the instructor is an ass.

 

...Denied water breaks? WTF?

 

That's why I quit. My parents were struggling financially and we had to turn in a ton of cans and bottles every weekend to pay for it and I felt too bad continuing. It's ridic how much everything costs

 

That reminds me of the time someone hid my water jug during conditioning for soccer. I had just ran 3 miles or so and was dying for a drink, but some asshole stole my jug and hid it

I thought my parents were going to go broke from paying for private school and all of my extracurriculars. We did Alice in Wonderland one year and I had to have 4 pairs of dyed pointe shoes that I never wore again except to practice in, I have a huge arch in my foot so I had to get the expensive pointe shoes bc I broke the reasonably priced ones so frequently and 2 professional tutus we had to pay for. My mom almost stroked out.
