My boss told me she submitted a request for me to get a pretty large promotion, so I'm hoping it gets passed. I almost wish she didn't tell me unless it went through because now I'm over here just hoping to hear from someone daily.

 

I want a new job too. But every time I consider it I remember that I come when I want and leave when I want and never have to work the weekends. And am one of the few people who is allowed over time when I want it. So even when its complete bullshit I cant seem to walk away.

 

Starting to rewatch Parks & Rec today.

I just lost all sense of job security the last 4-6 months, so I'd rather be proactive and get out before they start massively cutting back.

 

Last hire, 1st fire is some bullshit.

 

Coin vault manager at an armored truck company. Everyone relocated to a new building and I stayed behind. I manage three dudes, 2 of which are hard to communicate with cause they dont speak great English. But besides that barrier it's really easy and requires a lot of sitting at my desk "doing reports" that they think should take an eight hour shift but take twenty minutes. I also pull coin orders for different carriers so that places can get boxes of coin. The guys I manage roll loose coin into rolls and then into boxes. It's a god damn snooze if you couldn't tell lol

 

I just want a job.

 

I can't really be promoted. I can work my way up the company a bit probably but I'm guessing I would need a masters first. I think I'm pretty much at my ceiling unless I go to grad school and I'm so burned out on school that it's just not gonna happen rn. I'm in debt enough anyway

 

I'm being trained as a pathology assistant. The current one retires in a couple years and they want me to take her place. It's fun and I get paid like twice as much.

 

In a few years when my Department Chair retires, I could see myself going for the position. My current chair loves me, which would help.

 

Tomorrow is when we get our reviews done. The boss makes it a point to say it is merely a formality, but I am going to make it a point to get five dollars more.

 

When I was in elementary school I decided I wanted to be a pathologist cause it was our spelling word that week and I thought the word sounded cool even tho I didn't know what it meant. You are living my dream!

 

Once they started training me I was like I could totally go back to school for pathology since I have a bachelors already..12 MORE YEARS of schooling is what it would take! I shut that shit down right there haha

How my last promotion occurred. My manager was the one hiring for the position and he told me to apply for it. Interview consisted of me talking about my vacation the week prior. Still for the next two weeks while I was waiting to hear from HR sucked even though I was pretty sure the spot was mine.

 

I quit my job last week. Anyone like their career? Because I'm in need of a new one.

That sounds pretty awesome at this point hah. I'm desktop support for a pretty large health care conglomerate. It's ok, a lot of busy work. I'm just not happy doing it, at all.

 

... How does one accidentally drop-kick?

 

I need to go on a walk I've been stalling for 1.5 hours like I'd be back rn if I'd have just done it. I wanna walk and then make French toast with this cinnamon swirl bread but I'm being a lazy flop. It's the perfect day to walk too cause it's the one day out of the week it's not gonna be a trillion degrees. Uhhhhh motivation

 

I need to go to the gym today, but my entire body is aching from the last two days. Ugh.

 

I used to do school work in a Starbucks BECAUSE the WiFi was spotty. Taking notes for a class is way easier when I don't have the internet to distract me.

 

Commendable because if the Internet is not there to distract me, I relocate to somewhere where it can.

 

I thought of this too. I'd always bring a friend of mine who was much more studious, and she'd shame me into staying until I finished my work.
