Game one of the NBA finals. So nervous.

 

Should be a good one.

 

I found an onion in my coffee this morning. That was surprising.

 

A part of me died today when I went to absolutepunk.net and got redirected... and then I found this was just a newer cleaner version and that part came back to life. This site was an integral part of my work life for so long. Disaster averted. Other than no more big avatar with my prestigious my day is saved. I genuinely had a sinking feeling in my stomach. Now to go find some new bands to jam to.

 

I just posted up at Starbucks (endless free refills ftw) to do this freelance project I've been dreading. Been sitting here 20 minutes and just dancing in my chair to pop music. To think I'd convinced myself I'd be more productive if I left home.

Endless free refills? That is awesome. If my Starbucks has that and I haven't used it then damn.

 

Court was awful. I need to go somewhere and cry.

 

If you reach gold status in their rewards program, all hot teas and normal brew coffees are free refills as long as you're in-house. Usually refills are $0.55, I think?

 

I don't wanna pay my bills though.

I was a witness of the state in a felony theft case, and they settled just before I had to take the stand (prosecutor says my presence is what caused them to settle, because they remembered me being in the store -- don't think they were the ones who knew I called the cops, though).

 

I am also in starbucks right now (working on a paper not freelance) and can confirm reffills are 55 cents for iced coffee

 

That is sweet. I will probably never reach that. There is a coffee shop here walking distance from work that I frequent more just out of convenience.

 

I've been Gold level since like 2011? It's $150 spent in a year, I think? Something like that. Two-three coffees a month isn't terrible. I have the app on my phone connected to my bank, so thankfully it's not a hassle to keep reloading the giftcard like it used to be.

 

The amount of coffee I have drank in my life wouldn't fill a small (OR WHATEVER THEY CALL IT) cup.

 

I think cup is the right word

 

I decided to try something different and this coffee I bought tastes like dirt. I like pretty much all coffee but I spit this one out.

 

I've built up a tolerance to bad coffee because I drink the Folgers we have at work most days I'm there. Not that there isn't worse coffee/coffee I can't drink. It's still bad but... it does the trick.

 

That's not that bad. For some reason I was thinking it was a lot more.

 

I make cold brew in a french press every night because I'd rather sit in bed on Reddit for an hour in the morning. I was near the end of my container of coffee this morning, put probably 1.5x-2x the amount I usually put, messed up the way I put the lid in, and the bottom was filled with grinds.

 

Great...bassnectar has a new album out, so my office-mate at work is going to be using it on me as a form of torture all day long.

 

Work coffee is a necessary evil. I was working nights in a datacenter around nothing so it broke me. I love that I have choices around me now.

 

I should get a Starbucks card, I drink an absurd amount of coffee. Mostly I just live at Dunkin', which I think is a requirement in New England.

 

Yep, it doesn't have to be good. It's just there for survival haha
