The only "sunscreen" in this house is 8SPF tanning oil. Lobster status coming in hot.

Suppose to drive down to the beach after work and it just dawned on me how awful traffic is going to be. :uhoh:

There was always a prompt near the playlist bar that said "add", and now there is not.

I think I found it under under the first menu. Blanking on its name.

Work is a ghost town today. I just YouTube'd how to make various origami animals out of sticky notes.

I carry another set of earbuds in my purse just for this reason. What a bummer. Good luck though! @williek311

I showed up later than usual and there were less cars in the parking deck than there are when I come early. I think all the managers took 'work from home days'

Yup! Lots of people took today off or are leaving early to extend their long weekends. I don't blame them! It's basically summer here already.

As I was walking in to work heard a guy say "I'm going to get my weekend started." and I thought to myself, "I like this guys style."

If I had beer at home, this would definitely be a day for a casual lunch beer, but alas... dry. Note to self: buy booze this weekend.

This new girl just broke HIPPA big time and I'm not 100% sure what to do besides mention it to our supervisor. She wasn't being malicious just didn't think it all the way through before she did what she did. You can be fined like thousands of dollars..

    “The greatest teacher, failure is”

my first time posting in Chorus! woo! Was a consistent poster of AP but stopped once it switched for time purposes. I still read the home page every day. not sure if theres a thread for this although i looked and didn't find anything of the sort other than the mental health thread. My grandpa died yesterday and kind of wanted to talk about him a second because the dude was awesome.

Just had his 92nd birthday a week ago. His original name before being adopted was Nunzio Rossini and he claims he was a descendent of Giochino Rossini who created this beautiful work of art.
I also believe it because they look so much a like and their eyes are like...identical. Who knows though. Was in an orphanage for a good part of his early years. Adopted to a very abusive dad. Went to the Cleveland Institute of Music. served in two wars. Two purple hearts. was in a bad coma for at least a month from the war and i think maybe 2 or 3. Was a policeman. Had like 10 pianos/keyboards and billions of music books. Big fan of Gershwin, Chopin, Art Tatum, and Thelonius Monk. Owned a golf shop for a long time and loved golf and sports in general.

Despite all the hard times as a kid and being an abused child and in the war he was the kindest person. Never complained about anything. Always telling stories and seemingly had an eidetic memory with the detail he went to in his endless amount of stories. Weather. Date. Time. he remembered it all. His stories will definitely be the thing i miss most about him.

Anyways he lived on his own with a nurse that came over and cared for him. he fell out of his bed a few days ago and was pretty bruised up but he fell a lot so nobody made anything too big of it. I went over there yesterday and set up a railing for his bed. He seemed normal minus a lot of bruises. Walking fine. Talking a lot. Not complaining about any pain or anything.

After i was done he did what he always did and played me a couple songs on piano and for a 92 year old, not terrible. It was actually the best/most fun I had seen him have playing in a while. He told me after he's gone all his music would be mine and the piano he was playing would be mine (which he did every time i came over). After he was done he gave me a moment Ill never forget for the rest of my life. he turned towards me and told me to "keep playing your music" and telling me to practice slow and stuff like that but while looking me straight in the eyes for around 20-30 seconds without turning away. I think he knew it'd be last time he'd see me. I left right after that. He had like a second family who he was always with and they came over a lot and he called them every day at 10 which he didn't do yesterday and they went over there and they found him dead in bed. He usually takes a nap during the day so sometime after i left he took a nap and died in his sleep.

Im kind of incredulous right now because i very rarely went over there and somehow i was blessed enough to see him one last time, be the last person to see him and hear him play his last songs on piano and have him give me that message and indelible moment. Im super fucking bummed but I'm so grateful he went peacefully and presumably with not a lot of pain. I feel like thats the way everybody wants to go and if anybody i know deserved to go peacefully in his sleep it was him. He was seriously a beautiful man.

Love you grandpa. Thank you for everything R.I.P.
