I have olive skin and people have legit not believed that my ancestry is eastern European

 

There's an EASTERN Europe???

 

i was asked if i was spanish in a pub recently which is super odd

 

There are so many places in Eastern Europe I want to go explore. Budapest really helped stoke that fire.

 

I want to play Civilization.

 

Ugggghhh Budapest is such a travel goal of mine. Was it amazing?

 

I've learned that I didn't have a typical Budapest experience, but I adored my time there. The girl I went with has gone back since and she said we did it entirely wrong. We were both working at a study abroad program at the time, and the weather was HORRIBLE while we were there, so we mostly spent time relaxing in the luxury hot baths or wandering a couple of the museums.

Also, thank you for giving me a reason to bring up this post from last night again, because I don't think I'll top it.

 

My ideal travel experience is eating all the things.

 

Every time I go to a show on a weekday I remember why I barely do that the next morning at work.

You had me at "luxury spas" and then had to go and gild the lily with a sloth pic. SOLD.

 

My phone died so no but when I went back to see some friends I got decent video I guess. But she was amazing. Never felt so empowered at a show. Between parts ofthe Lemonade video on the screen, impassioned speeches and only having black women on the live instruments/giving them a solo was so great. Her fans are super passionate too.

Only bummer was a cop kicking women out of the men's bathroom (the line for the women's was so long and it didn't matter) and him announcing he'd love to make an example of someone. A guy asked if there was a law against it and he started making up a law lol I asked him why he was so full of shit and he was like "say it again motherfucker and you'll really look cool in front of everyone" lol

 

They were amazing. We went to two, the most expensive (no pictures allowed) and the national one. The "most expensive" one, because of currency exchange, was only like $15. SOLD. The national one was like $6? It looks like this:



The National History Museum and Holocaust Museums were stellar. Did a walking tour of all the big monuments, but it was below freezing with arctic winds so I don't remember much even though I've got pictures. (Here's my Facebook album if you wanna look. This includes a LARGE amount of zoo pictures, including their one month old elephant.)

They have a large selection of ruined pubs that I need to go back and experience. I think it was @mad who I talked about them with on here before.

 

The top part is fantastic to hear. The bottom? Not so much.

Weirdly, I just read an article in VegNews featuring Budapest and all the veg-friendly food options and amazing spas and museums. And I have a few former coworkers who've been and just loved it and said it's one of their favorite cities. My husband and I still haven't gone on a honeymoon, so Budapest should probably be on our shortlist!

 

I didn't like the last Grande album. I still blast Piano all the time though.

 

I've learned to just take the vacation day. Gonna have to do that for Kyary. That'll likely be because I ended up getting way too drunk and lost in the city though.

 

Yes! I highly recommend the combo Prague-Budapest for your honeymoon. Prague is my second favorite place in Europe. They're connected by a few trains that are only like four hours and through some gorgeous countryside. Vienna and Bratislava (didn't get to actually go into either of these cities) also really close in that triangle. (Fun fact, I've been in three nation capitals in one day because of that: Prague, Bratislava, and Budapest.)

 

I should have for sure. Didn't even drink much bc my wife was there and she gave me the look when I ordered my third like I was done no matter what lol. My two friends however went hard. One works directly with a Senator here so god speed to his work day today

 

I think she also plays up being ~racially ambiguous so it's not surprising. I've def seen an interview or two where she's talking in a fake accent similar to xtina's during stripped and I'm like now sis...
