i also love miley. only thing i find questionable is her continued working relationship with terry richardson.

 

And then Lana Del Rey is sort of the complete opposite for me -- I love her stupid fucking schtick and music, but she's a terrible singer.

Not nu-metal but GWAR's cover of "Carry on My Wayward Son" “Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car” "West End Girls" and "People Who Died" are all fantastic. The last of which actually is a little emotional.

Blasphemy! I love Lana, her voice is one of my favorites in music.

 

The thing about Lana is that her music actually achieves the atmospheric quality that most (all?) music tries to achieve. Every single time I listen to her stuff, I'm mentally in her gloriously melancholy, Instagram-filtered version of LA.

 

Okay, but this Linkin Park cover of "Rolling in the Deep" is fuckin' phenomenal.

 

As stated, I love her, but her voice is NOT objectively good. Come on. She has no range!

 

As for Lana, "Young and Beautiful" from the Gatsby soundtrack is one of my favorite songs of the decade, but I can't make it through most of her albums.
