I'm not good enough to play 6, hahah. It's too crowded for me and I either attack to much or let stuff go assuming someone else will get it. 2's is fun, just a lot of running, and everyone has to be pretty good.

 

The girl I liked in college was on the volleyball team, so I watched them play all the time (and then ended up on a practice squad of guys to play against them for them to work on getting faster). I kinda have this talent for watching a sport, and being able to implement tactics and techniques without much practice. Like, I can "mentally" get a sport and put forth a really good effort early on, then practice to get better.

That girl and I won a 2's tournament. If only she and I had worked out.

 

I go places alone all the time! Movies, shows, whatever. I'm not going to let not knowing people stop me from enjoying myself

 

When I've gone to shows alone, I go in, grab a beer, stake my place, sip my beer, and just watch. I usually end up talking to whoever ends up near me, but at the same time, doesn't really matter. I'm there for the music.

 

I love going to the movies alone. Though I must admit I've never been able to convince myself to go to a show alone either. :/

 

I think my first show alone was either Underoath or Emery/Maylene. Kinda weird shows to be alone at, but still a lot of fun.

 

I can go to shows or basically anything alone no problem. The one thing I can't do is movies. I don't know what it is, I just feel weird about it.

I always associate movies with like, a date night, haha. I'm also just not a huge movie goer in general though, so i only go when i'm invited.

 

Yeah same, I don't really like going to the movies at all. I'm too cheap.

 

Oh man, movies alone is the best. But, that whole "no local friends" thing has necessitated I see movies alone for a long time. Well, and when one parent would drop me off there and then another would pick me up before that during the fun post-divorce/pre-car days of teenager life.

 

That's a big part of it

 

Tomorrow is my last day working with children until September!! My shins will get a rest from being kicked, my hair won't be pulled, nobody will scream how much they hate me and throw things at me.

I'll still miss them tho

 

Is it weird that I go to my local pub alone? Same with the neighborhood coffee shop. I show up and jive with the people behind the counter and usually end up getting free stuff and having rad conversation.

 

I've gone to shows alone which is fine during the set but in between sets omg idk what to do with myself. Usually only so long I can browse online and pretend to text ppl

 

Going to pubs alone kind of forces you to meet new people so...it's kind of cool once and a while.

 

That's true. Or I do the "take a book and read on the patio with a beer" thing when I'm not feeling particularly sociable. Either way, make for a beautiful Saturday. But when I tell people I do that they are baffled.

 

Sometimes it's good to just be alone with your thoughts, man. I personally should do it more often.

 

Agreed. I've been trying to practice the whole meditation thing in the morning. But it's a chore

I think my brain has trouble processing that I don't need to finish an assignment immediately. I see a big assignment, get super overwhelmed and just shut down because I don't want to dedicate that much time to it in one night, apparently failing to realize I can work and make progress on it and don't have to finish it then and there.

Stupid brain.

 

I decided to kill all my beer tonight and now I'm an an hour away from bedtime and I guess I'll play Zelda for a minute

 

If I have work in the morning, I freak out every minute I stay up past the 8 hours before I wake up mark.
