So me and my girlfriend didn't get the apartment that we really fucking loved. Ughhhhhhhhh

Today is my second day back in after a month off. It's amazing how much more exhausted I feel while there, and then later in the day.

 

I played basketball tonight for almost 4 hours because my team won every game. Non stop running. 12 games in a row.

Really fun though. I'm gonna sleep like a baby.

 

I miss playing sports.

@Mr. Serotonin -- Well, when I graduated college, I no longer had built in places to play sports (intramurals or pick-up) nor local friends back home to play them with. I quite literally have no one here to do anything with. I also had to get glasses last year and can't get contacts until December, so that keeps me from playing my best, though I can get by.

I've tried to get into our local metro soccer league, but when I tried to sign up for free agency they never got back to me. I tried every season for the last three years, and still no dice.

 

Well that's annoying, and kind of rude. They should've definitely got back with you. Was that your main sport? @Garrett L.

 

I'm digging into Sage Francis's back catalog. The production used to throw me off but the songs are soooo good.

 

I'm nervous about going to see The Cure alone on Friday. I used to be terrified about that but I finally got brave enough to do it to see the TLOP stream that was in theaters and as soon as I walked in a guy loudly laughed and said to his girlfriend "that guy needs a friend"... Yeah, biggest nightmare came true.

 

I was supposed to play college softball at FSU. This weekend we're going to watch regionals and I always feel sad lol

Yeah... I'm probably not even going to try for the summer league. The three I would play every week if I could would be tennis (#1), soccer, and volleyball, beach or indoor.

 

Hell yeah man. I just recently started playing beach volleyball every Wednesday with some friends. We usually just play 3's. It's so much fun. I hope you're able to find somethin'.

 

Ooof. Softball is huge here in Knoxville, so I can only imagine it'd have been a blast for you in Tally, too. They're similar school atmospheres.

I was instrumental in my college getting a men's volleyball team, they just couldn't get it through the bureaucracy in time so the first year of competing was the year after I graduated.

 

@Mr. Serotonin It made me feel pretty uncomfortable the rest of my time there and confirmed my fear of going out to things alone.

 

Oh man, threes is fun. I even really like tradition 2v2 on beach. Indoor, sixes, where people are actually rotating properly with set positions is my favorite, though. I love the intricacy and timing.

 

Fuck them man, do whatever you want. Sometimes it's good to do stuff alone. Some people just aren't comfortable enough with themselves to do it.
