Yeah that's part of the plan. Mostly "easier" at this point would be "the family of 12 not being there when I tour it"

That sentence was all types of fucked up. It's not cool to lock your kid in their room. I would understand if maybe it was upstairs and if the kid wakes up it can't get out to fall down the stairs or something but it sounds like that's not the case for her at all.

I think it was to keep out the other smaller kids but still really fucked up.

    Catching up...

    1) Tickets to Bey weren't that bad. GOOD tickets to Bey are bad. Still a little salty my May 5th show was moved to Oct. 2nd.
    2) Fuck spiders. #Shelob

Coincidentally, if I got tickets I would've had to miss the show anyway haha

Almost threw her in, too, but didn't figure most people have read The Silm.

Well, that's just shitty luck. Nashville still has tickets, and Houston and Dallas got second shows, I think, if you wanna party in the early fall.

Ungoliant is the original evil spider in Middle-Earth. Shelob, the spider that knocks Frodo out and Sam kills, is one of her daughters.

I find it crazy how they waged wars that would literally change the shape of Arda. Like wtf.

And when Manwe went to war an entire continent ended up underwater. :scream:

But for real, The Fall of Gondolin is one of my favorite stories ever.

My fave is Akallabêth. It ties the super fantastical world of the Silmarillion to the regular LOTR so well.

Definitely. Even if The Silm is just tragedy after tragedy, they're all handled so beautifully.

I'm a bit partial to the Ainulindale, as well, as just sheer poetic writing.

Gondor was inspired by Venice... which you can't really tell in the movies at all.
