I waited in line for like 3 hours and got refused at the door because my license was expired. Then I walked down Sixth Street very sadly thinking about going into a random bar, then some guy tried to sell me coke, then I went back to my car and slept

 

Ah Austin. I miss it so. Grew up there, moved south. Every time I go back the skyline is different and I don't feel like I am cool enough to hang out at any of the old bars I used to haunt.

 

I've only been there for events but I would totally live there. Maybe in 12 years, ha

 

I went to Austin once and would love to live there.

 

They don't have the infrastructure to support the 150 people per day that have been moving there since 2013. They are at 98% rent capacity the last time I checked with my band mates. Traffic is awful, and the over all vibe of the city is so different now.

However, I still go up there every Sunday during football season to watch the Bills with the Buffalo Bills Backers Club there. 200 Bills fans and good Bar B Que - I can't give that up. For everything else, I am incredibly happy with where I am now.

 

If Austin were anywhere else in the world I'd live there in a second. But alas, it is in Texas.

Kuwait is too hot. It hit 125 when I was there. I'd rather live in Kuwait than Texas.

I lived in Texas for about three years. I only liked visiting Austin and San An. Everywhere else was too much for me. Dallas had too much of a homeless population. El Paso had too many redneck cowboys. Houston had too many damn roads.

 

This. Well put. San Antonio is awesome to live in. Visiting I would be so bored.

 

I LOVE living in Southwest Ohio. I would hate living anywhere else in Ohio since the rest of the state is just corn from what I hear.

 

If I remember correctly you lived around where I lived last and I hated it there so much hahahaha

I like living in Dallas but I don't treat it like I live in Dallas considering I'm in a suburb and 90% of DFW is a giant suburb. The actual city of Dallas is okay but you're definitely right about the homeless population.

Denton is probably my favorite place in Texas, a very very mini-Austin without as many annoyances as Austin.

Ever been to San Marcos? That town is cool as shit.

 

I haven't been in San Marcos much but heard good things and from my limited experience there it's cool haha. I love places like that for sure.
