This is a really cool idea. I wish there was a channel that did that in the US for Memorial Day.

That was the most depressing thing in the DFAC in Afghanistan.

It was the DFAC on the SF camp. The First Sargeant wouldn't allow anything on the tv but the memorial thing for all of the SOF guys lost in Afghanistan. It was 24/7.

I've been meaning to ask because I have family member in the military who are 100% for what they're fighting. Then a few of them don't want to be in the service anymore. @Henry @Brenden

I do but while ultimately I feel like it's time to pull out, it has to be done correctly otherwise you go right back there as we are doing in Iraq with ISIS. But there were so many poor decisions that were made politically in both wars it's frustrating.

Basically since Vietnam the wars have been 'lost' not due to a poor military performance/strategy but poor politics.

You don't fucking scare me! I fuck you!

They used to do this on ME tv for all the dead civilians in Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Lebanon etc

I don't see it anymore though not sure why they stopped

I have 2 family members in South Korea right now and they both act like they're ready for a war with North Korea.

I can recall being talked down to on AP for pointing out how awful of a human being she is, nice to see she keeps enforcing my point about it.

I can't defend her actions and will not support her at all, but there's something leaving a bad taste in my mouth in terms of a whole bunch of white men/women completely demolishing a POC, LGBTQ artist.

I actually just made a thread on here that kinda ties in in terms of how to react to problematic artists

I'll expand a little. It was a quick and resounding no, but I couldn't articulate on mobile.

I don't think the war was something I ever would have supported. Was there need for retaliation after 9/11? Probably. Did it need to be a sink for billions of dollars and lives? Not a chance in hell. Seeing the landscape of the Middle East now is super disheartening. When you are taking children and bigots and tell them to fight a war against the *insert racist term* they are going to do things they shouldn't be doing. I know for a fact there were many atrocities that took place during the invasion of Iraq and war on terror. The things that Americans did are going to leave mental scars on the families of those affected personally. I can say that a lot of what is going on in Iraq right now makes a ton of sense and we are mostly responsible for it.

I don't agree with any of the ideology that has taken grasp over there. Oppression is a sickness but I don't think we should be ultimately responsible for correcting it. We aren't Team America: World Police.

All that said, I felt great knowing that there were a lot of people in AFG that were grateful for the impact we had made. I just know it will be undone when we leave.

Korea is a funny place. They are always having escalations of force, but it will never happen. 60 years of the same stuff.

If you're a shitty person, you're a shitty person. I get people trying to prop up minorities and give them more of a voice but it shouldn't be at the expense of common decency.

That being said I really have no idea who Azelia Banks is.

Yeah I mean again I'm not making any excuses or saying that she should have said what she said; however, I also don't really think it's my place as a straight white dude to be shouting down or chastising her like I see a lot of people doing. I can promote the voices of people who are taking offense to her offensive language, but I don't really vibe with all the people trashing her hairstyle or music or whatever else is happening on Twitter.
