Really love how people try to tell me that Islamophobia isn't a thing but a made up concept supported by their irrational and bigoted views. Yeah, okay. Be ignorant, be scared of boogiemen you're told to be scared of. Sorry, FB interactions with people. Really want to just to delete it but without it, I'd be socially lost among my friends and family and I'd lose years of memories, good and bad. FB has me by the balls and I hate it.

It was so freeing getting rid of mine. I did it mainly bc of my job but I come from a small town and people talk shit about everyone on FB. It's ridiculous.

 

The best ones are white dudes complaining about "PC culture" on any article about racism, sexism, homophobia, etc. It's like they can't comprehend that people are over being discriminated against and speaking out about it, so they lash out instead and completely miss the point.

 

Today I was in the middle of a racist conversation sandwich and I gave out an awkward "uhhhh we should change the subject this is p. racist" but they just went "well it's true!" And kept going so that was weird.

 

I try to eat alone for that reason. Everyone I work with is conservative.

 

I straight up internally lose my shit when I'd eat my lunch and people come over to where I was sitting at to talk to me. It's not like I hate the company or anything but fuck man, I put this new album on my iPod so I could listen to it and enjoy it while I relaxed. In case you didn't notice, it's been a long time since I've had a lunch break.

 

I sometimes do that on drives. If I'm listening to an album I'm really in the mood for but the passenger doesn't know the artist they'll talk through the whole thing and it drives me nuts sometimes.

 

Similarly, I don't like when I really love part of a song and someone talks over the part I am silently waiting for. Like Nick's "eh eh eh" background vocals I like in a part of I Want it That Way or MCR's Deathwish from "Just know that I will remember you" to the end of the song like shut uuuuup I've been waiting the whole song for that part


But honestly I eat at my desk so I can't complain when ppl talk to me there.

 

I love it when I'm driving and people get mad at me for turning the volume up super loud so I can't hear them.

 

If I could, I just drive with my earbuds on and I'd ignore whomever is the passenger.

I just taught my students "good" vs. "well"

One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone asks me "How are you?" and I respond with "Good, you" and they say "I'm well". Fuck you, good is the correct answer to that question. I didn't ask if you were sick or not. "How are you doing?" gets the "well" response.

 

I'm doing good! Not well! I'm not a fuckin steak!

 

No no no no, you "do well".

 

That song on Gran Turismo 2 got me so hyped. No way I was coming in second.
