The only Rob Zombie movie I've seen is The Devil's Rejects, which I didn't love. Too gritty and cynical I guess. I've heard mostly bad things about Halloween.

I'm not really into his music, but I did see him perform last year and it was an alright time

House of 1,000 Corpses was good.

I think that might be an unpopular opinion.

I straight up cannot wait to see Rob Zombie this summer. Say what you will about his music, the man puts on one of the best shows on the planet.

You know, I kinda like his Halloween remake. Follow the spirit of the original and did his own thing, I can respect that.

I hate every Rob Zombie movie I've seen. They make me deeply uncomfortable, and not like in an interesting or thought-provoking way but in a way that makes me want to cry and then shower a lot.

I mean, watch this and tell me you wouldn't at the very least entertained by what you're seeing.

for some reason i would never have pegged you as a fan of that movie. it was decently fun, i wasn't entirely sold on all of the Nine Inch Nails music video -esque edits and splash screens but i'd rather a creative approach than a tired one, esp in horror, so it got off with an "I'm alright with this" from me.

My roommate is on vacation and I don't know what to do with myself. Gonna be a boring week.

Man he didn't have all that pyro and video stuff when I saw him. It was at a festival put on by the local rock station, so I guess that's why

First time I ever saw him live, I was a convert. He also has giant robots and monsters come on stage too, the whole thing is just one giant spectacle. Oh and Alice Cooper opened for him too, it was so damn lit.

Lords of Salem is the best thing he's done so far in my opinion.

Just curious but why would you think I wouldn't be a fan? That's how I felt about it, too. It wasn't the same boring, repetitive horror stuff and I appreciate when someone at least tries a different approach.

That sounds really fucking cool. I've never even attempted to listen to his stuff.

I had a game called Sled Storm for PS1 that was a snowmobile racing game and Dragula was on it. So I grew up knowing that and a few singles from radio. Always thought he was alright but never dug into his stuff

As far as bands go that I desperately want to see live, this band is at the top of the list.

i'm... not sure, haha. it's such a curious horror film, and I don't think i even knew you were a horror fan (are you in the horror thread? join us!). it's, like, three or four layers of counter-culture deep, haha - horror, exploitation, weird cult fanbase - so I guess I very rarely think "that person is probably a house of 1000 corpses fan," and then given that in my mind you're basically just Adele but on chorus, i'm even less likely to think that about you haha

His singles are arguably better than his albums to be honest, still fun though. @AelNire, check out his greatest hits album. It's got a good mix of what he's all about.

Haha the 1st thing that went through my mind was I bet it's my avatar. I dabble in there some but I haven't seen any of the obscure stuff y'all mainly discuss so I just lurk.

For real, I wish more bands would put a little more effort into their stage show. I love it when a show becomes a total spectacle, I get such a high from it. Plus, most bands look the same under lights so why not throw in a projector or something? Like if I ever get my music stuff off the ground, rest assure that I will create some stage show around any live performance I do.

We mainly talk about new stuff I think! Though I'm trying to catch up with older stuff, so we can always use more classics discussion

I haven't heard anything from Rob Zombie, but I kinda think I wouldn't like it. He does seem like a cool dude though from that thing above.

In fact, I have this little thing that I've been dreaming up. Not sure if I ever will be able to pull it off but I'd love to start a band that's like B-52's but Fallout themed. Like every member of the band is wearing Vault suits and the lead singer looks like Vault Boy and they play basically B-52 rip off music about Mentats and Mirelurks. Plus, there would be people in suits, think Mirelurks or Super Mutants, and they'd dance on stage or interact with the crowd. Alas, it's just a dream though.
