  1. I dropped calc 2 the first time I took it because I was on my way to failing it otherwise. Taking it again sucked, but at least I passed.

A couple months ago I started taking ADHD medication as an adult, after never having taken it before... I'll admit I was extremely nervous about whether it would help me in school, what the long-term effects would be, etc. Thankfully I had no reason to be nervous... this is the best decision I've made in my life. I finally feel like all the stuff going on my life is manageable and not overwhelming, and I've been able to take on more responsibilities and stuff I've wanted to do as a result of having more free time. Feeling in control and confident in my ability to manage my life, for pretty much the first time, has been the biggest blessing I've ever had.

Haha we're just starting, haven't released anything yet. Don't think he's going to be a guest now bc he doesn't live in Seattle and was only coming back to start training for the season.

Man this might inspire me to actually make the doctors appointment I was supposed to make. I've always been so scattered in school and life and everyone wanted me to take the medication but I refused because I didn't want to be on pills. Happy for you though, good to hear you're liking it and achieving what you want to be.

"This action is about a great deal more than bathrooms. This is about the dignity and respect that we accord our fellow citizens and the laws that we as a people and as a country have enacted to protect them. Indeed, to protect all of us. And it’s about the founding ideals that have led this country haltingly but inexorably in the direction of fairness, inclusion, and equality for all Americans.

This is not the first time that we have seen discriminatory responses to historic moments of progress for our nation. We saw it in the Jim Crow laws that followed the Emancipation Proclamation. We saw it in the fierce and widespread resistance to Brown v. Board of Education. And we saw it in the proliferation in state bans on same-sex unions that were intended to stifle any hope that gay and lesbian Americans might one day be afforded the right to marry. And that right of course is now recognized as a guarantee embedded in our Constitution. And in the wake of that historic triumph, we have seen bill after bill and state after state taking aim at the LGBT community.

Now some of these responses reflect a recognizably human fear of the unknown and a discomfort with the uncertainty of change. But this is not a time to act out of fear. This is a time to summon our national virtues of inclusivity, of diversity, of compassion and open-mindedness. And what we must not do—what we must never do—is turn on our neighbors, our family members, our fellow Americans for something that they cannot control, and deny what makes them human. And this is why none of us can stand by when a state enters the business of legislating identity and insists that a person pretend to be something or someone that they are not, or invents a problem that does not exist as a pretext for discrimination or harassment."

    Goddamn, what a statement.

I used to be personally super against medicating for anything (I'm on the autism spectrum with some ADHD symptoms), and honestly this experience in particular has changed my perspective on it dramatically. Never feel ashamed of taking medication if you so choose... I view it now as giving yourself an equal chance at success by removing some of the roadblocks that others don't have. Obviously there can be success found without medication, but there's no shame in either path.

I don't see why peple still pay money to go to her shows. I empathize with artists who are a late because of things out of their control but she is late for EVERYTHING.

She just can't be satisfied with her art until she's finished doing whatever else she wants first. She'd just be "off" otherwise. You wouldn't understand :crylaugh: @AelNire

Regardless of her reasoning it still sucks. I can empathize with her to an extent, but many performers let the show go on (on time or at least close lol) under non-ideal circumstances. I believe her when she says she cares about her fans, and it shouldn't affect anyones opinion of her or her music imo. But still, she really shouldn't do that and she REALLY shouldn't be defending it

It's sounds like a brag but it's not, but my parents are rather wealthy. My sister and her husband/their two kids currently live with them while her husband goes to school to become a nurse and my parents pay like everything but his school bills. Rent free, pay for food and such. I don't care because they've given me so much over time. I never ask them for money, they don't pay any of my bills or anything but I know if i was in a jam they'd help me out. Anyway my mom offered to buy Disneyland tickets for everyone (except my brother in law who cant come) so we can all go with my nephew and be there for his first time, we just had to pay for flights. Me and my wife are trying to buy a house so we weren't sure we'd be able to go but my mom just texted me that she bought our flights cause she wanted us to come. It's so generous and I am continually humbled by their generosity.

Too bad I will be poor forever and will never be able to get them back :verysad:

Side note on Facetime yesterday I told my nephew that his new trampoline was the perfect arena for me to kick his butt and responded "No i'll kill you Kyle!" and his mom heard and goes "That's not nice you apologize" He put his head down and goes "I love you Uncle Kyle" and I said "Love you too dude" and his head popped up and he smiles and says "Mom! Uncle Kyle said he loves me! And he said it nice!"

:verysad::verysad::verysad:At this rate I will have my own child by the end of the year
