My best friend is in med school and his loans broke $200k this year. One of my other good friends is in law school at Georgetown and just broke $150k. I can't even imagine knowing that I have a decent sized mortgage for a piece of paper that lets me do a job.

Uncharted and Bioshock are my favorite series games, outside of (most of) the Zelda series. I can't wait for UC4.

I never went to college, so I'm at least 55% less adult than anyone here. It kept me away from student loans, but like a real champ, I managed to just find other, more creative ways to get into debt.

I have always felt like its total bullshit that doctors..the people we need..always end up in loads of debt for the most part. I'm pretty sure docs don't start making money until like 20 years after they graduate lol

Luckily my loans aren't as bad cause I went to cc first and got scholarships so my first two years were free. I'm kinda almost done with the loan with the highest interest rate, which was also my biggest loan. I'd be able to pay it off now if I didn't get laid off summers. The Stafford loans bother me less.

Admittedly I get bitter when ppl's parents pay for their school or help out with loans. Like get outta here!! Even tho of course I'd accept the help if it was offered to me lol

I didn't go either, so we're on the same team there. I was super unbelievably depressed, along with not having any idea what I would have wanted to go for, so at least I skipped on the student loan debt ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Exactly. I'm of the opinion "bad grades should keep doctors from being doctors, not lack of funds/unwillingness to go into extreme debt." My buddy was telling me that the average doctor takes 15 years to pay off their debts, which doesn't sound too bad, but then said that's usually paying like 1/4 of your annual salary or more. He's saying his goal is 5 years and I have no idea how he's gonna do it. I do know his preferred practice (and he has the grades for it) is one of the higher paying ones out of the gate so maybe it's possible.

My mom's former doctor straight up admitted to her one time that he was a C-student and barely got through med school. This was after years of him being borderline incompetent and doing the absolutely bare minimum every time she asked him something about medication/etc. I was like, why the fuck would you ever admit that to a patient?

My dad got a huge promotion at work and with his bonus paid off my remaining balance (about 1/6 of my beginning budget) as a part of my birthday present last year. I was in shock when he did it, since I never talked with either of my parents about my loans.

Yeah, I just didn't know what to go for. I was in a rough relationship, and I don't know why, but college intimidated me at the time. That, and I thought it would be a great idea to sign up for a 3 year, non-credited Bible college, and pursue a career in music at the same time.

    I've come a long way.

Man, I love Glitch Mob. Not huge on this type of music, but their music is so bombastic and awesome.

My parents would have paid for my school if I had gone and applied myself. But I dropped out after failing one semester (hated the school) and I have been in and out of CC since paying my own way but I never do well because I can't focus/don't like school.

Yeah, getting an inside look into med school honestly terrifies me a bit at how little some really good students can get away with or how hard some students will work to only get Cs (but still get degrees). One guy I met through my buddy has watched nine HBO shows in their entirety in class. Apparently they can go back and watch the lectures online later, but wtf. He's also in the top 5% of students in the class.

My brother is finishing up and heading to grad school though and they paid for it. The one sibling who is an adult when it comes to school lol

I think they did a remix for the first GI Joe movie that I remember liking. Can't say I've heard much by them.

I'm going back to school in the fall. Gonna be a trip.

It's hard to put a finger on what their sound really is, since I don't listen to much EDM.

What is everyone's opinion on EDM in general?

I really like this. Kinda reminds me a bit of Carnage or Borgore. They did a collaboration called Incredible that is one of my favorite EDM tracks. It features two back to back bass drops (the second is a remix of the first, if that makes any sense) that get me so hype.

Not my thing, or something I'd probably ever go out of my way to listen to, but I've always imagined it's a lot of fun in a live setting. Like at something that's not necessarily just music, but happens to have live music being played. It seems like it would give off a fun vibe if other fun things are going on.

It took me 8 years to finish school for various reasons. I almost didn't make it because I'm very good at getting frustrated and quitting things.

I like EDM, but I have to be in a certain mood to listen to it. I've always wanted to go to one of those big festivals like EDC or Tomorrowland just for the experience. Love most of Diplo's work lately, and Calvin Harris (definitely the more poppier side) constantly releases bangers.

Same same. I have a friend who's trying really hard to get me to go to an EDM fest (Shambhala in Canada) but I'm super on the fence about it. Like if it was free I'd go for sure, but not totally sure I want to put a bunch of money towards that when there are so many other things I want to do this summer.

I don't listen to much at all. It's hard for me to get behind a lot of it. Basically just listen to Glitch Mob and Araabmuzik.

Though I definitely like all of the songs Araabmuzik remixed individually as well. lol

Best thing about EDM are those furry knee high sock/shoe things people wear.

Do any of you guys listen to Eskimeaux? I've been obsessed with this album from last year, after finally checking it out this week.
