One time in kindergarten I remember our teacher told us if we got glitter in our eyes they would cut open. I was terrified of glitter until I was in like middle school

Brutal. Same thing happened to me with St. Vincent cus the original date she ended up being asked to play with the surviving Nirvana guys at the Rock and Roll HOF ceremony, so it ended up going from like April to September.

Don't know where else to put this but I really don't like my new step dad. I don't personally have any interaction with him but he's an asshole to my 6 year old sister. I was playing a game with her and she was kinda bugging me and I heard him say loud enough for her to hear that she "makes people want to kill themselves". No matter how mad she would make me I would NEVER say anything even remotely close to that.

 

Yeah not excusable ever. I have a six year old and if anyone ever said that about her, well, I would become unpleasant

 

On a lighter note I'm watching An American Werewolf In London for the first time and there's a line I identify with so much

"A naked American man stole my balloons"

 

It's fucked up to say that either way but really concerning considering he's stepped into a new stepparent position.

I've met my step-mom once in four years. She is an evil person. No desire to be a part of his life as long as they are together. Sad but true.

 

I've heard more horror stories about step parents than really any other type of person.

 

My stepmom is like a second mom and I see her more than my bio mom. My stepdad... I think in his own way he tries to bond with me but it's awkward and we have nothing in common and it's just not gonna happen. He got super offended that I didn't say congrats when he married my mom but I'm socially inept I've literally never told anyone that at their wedding before. Also he throws a tantrum if my mom doesn't make his plate for him, like wtf you're a grown man

 

I gained a step-mom two months ago. It's weird, but we get along okay.
