My mom really doesn't like tattoos. Her brother has a lot of really trashy ones and it's kinda clouded her entire perspective on them. She lets me live at home for free, so I'm just respecting her wishes for now. Doesn't really bother me. She loves a lot of my ideas for them, though. Just thinks I should invest in art for my home instead of putting them on my skin.

 

True. I mostly wanted to see them dig out some more from Dude Ranch and TOYPAJ.

 

I might be the least financially responsible person I know. Girlfriend and I dished out roughly $2000 altogether to fly out and see Kanye next month in NYC (I live in California). Lots of other people I love at that festival but he's one of the biggest reasons I'm going.

 

I went to Gov Ball solely for Drake last year so I feel your financial pain.

 

You sure it wasn't to stay with your hetero life partner?

 

We still talking about Thrice? Saw them with Moving Mountains and O'Brother. Probably one of the better shows I've ever been to. I'm missing their tour, they aren't coming close to me. But maybe I'll suck it up and spend too much to road trip it.

 

I was sad MM didn't play much older stuff on that tour. Their set was way too short as well.

 

Also the reason. His girlfriend at the time pulled me aside to ask if she could sleep in the middle of his bed and at least put me on the side lol. That trip was awful in the best way.

 

It was WAY too short. Especially since that was my only time seeing them, and probably the last time since they're done now. I want to say they only played like, 4-5 songs. Which I get, but it still bummed me out.

 

Hahahahaha. That sounds too awesome. Even without flying, that show was way out of my price range.

 

I tried to get Valerie to come out for some reason when we tried getting into Refused. Wasn't a Free Throw show so she didn't make it. I thought Kevin tried getting you to come but money makes sense. I had it set up paid in three installments so 6 months before the show I could make it work. I wanted to go this year but I was such an asshole last time that the wife wasn't feeling it this time lol

 

LOL I'm worried that her birthday party is going to be her blasting Free Throw for four hours. No thanks. q

 

That was a phenomenal tour. It's when I fell in love with "Where Two Bodies Lie," which continues to be the only MM song I remember/love to this day. I've listened to all their albums multiple times, but they never stick with me.

 

I feel like the guy I sit next to at work who is constantly talking to me about random things probably thinks I'm a sick because of my unresponsiveness. But then he just keeps doing it. Super nice guy but I wish he would quiet down sometimes. Most of the time.

 

Can you wear headphones at work? That's what I do.

 

Yeah it's weird, cause I really, really loved Waves when I first heard it. I enjoy it a ton still, and they did some really great stuff. But I definitely skip around a lot on that album. I liked the album they released afterwards too, and their earlier stuff, but I definitely jump around a lot more. I can't remember the last time I listened to any of their albums front to back.

 

This is my life. Headphones help, but he just keeps going so I feel bad.

 

Listening to Lorde. Forgot how much I enjoyed Pure Heroine.

 

unfortunately no headphones or music at my job. I'm supposed to be calling people all day so there is no escape

 

That's a bummer. I have windows of time between people having random dumb computer issues, so headphones are a godsend.

 

My headphones don't come off at work. I just wish Spotify worked.

 

What happened to Lorde?
