I've seen Arcade Fire and The National as GA at the Barclays and it was fantastic. And Kanye West seated which wasn't as fun but still sweet.


But fuck ever getting to Brooklyn on a weekday.

 

I don't mean to continue this discussion but just wanted to point out because it comes up a lot -- the death penalty is actually more expensive than life imprisonment, because you don't just execute them and be done with it once they're sentenced. There's a years-long appeals process and whatnot that ends up being a massive drain on resources.

 

Just found out Kamasi Washington is coming to my town. Pretty excited about it!

 

Yeah, only beach. It's not technically ON the beach though. We have sand courts at a coupla local parks. We usually play 3's, sometimes 4's.

 

I have a negative bias toward Barclays because it's so dimly lit for NBA games and it looks like you're watching something at a high-school gym on tv.

 

I hope Mo tickets aren't crazy expensive when she tours the US. Also hope she is headlining. q

 

Oh Barclays is a stadium? Weird that Grimes would be playing there right?

 

She has to be opening for someone, I'd guess. There's no way she could play that as a headliner.

I've never really listened to Florence, but I honestly had no idea she was big enough to sell out arenas.

I thought she was like amphitheatre level.

I think I'm officially the oldest one in my family without getting pregnant which is weird. Idk if I want kids but I feel like if I don't have them young then the hypothetical kid won't get to have a relationship with my gma and stuff and that bums me out. Not enough to go and have a kid but still it's a sad thought.

I'm waiting for my younger brother and sister to do the kid thing. It's only a matter of time.

My extended family has always been very traditional. They cast me out when I got my first tattoo, though later they stopped caring. Coincidentally, the first grandchild with kids had twins out of wedlock. I think all of the traditionalism went out the window there. lol

 

I always get baby fever whenever I accidentally walk into the baby clothes section.

 

I don't get baby fever much. Working with kids is birth control but sometimes they're really cute and I want to foster them or something lol. But I had a relationship with my great grandparents and my great great grandma and it weirds me out that by the time I did have kids, if I have them, they won't be able to know theirs much. Idk.

 

thankfully both my sisters are younger and in no rush to be moms , and at least you still have your grandma all my grandparents have been dead since I was 16 ,sorry to be a bummer

 

Yeah and see to me that's another reason to like having a young family cause all my grandparents are relatively young. I have friends whose parents are close to my grandparents age and i'd hate having to worry about that rn. Sorry for your loss bb

 

I wonder who is going to have a kid first, my brother or my sister. My sister is getting married in August so maybe her within the next year or so, but my brother has been married for 5 years, but still no kids. I don't expect any nieces of nephews soon from him cause I remember finding a used condom in his garbage not long ago. So oh well, not much has changed since I first found that condom in his garbage over a decade a go.

 

I don't know that I'll ever be financially responsible enough for a child.

 

Why we you digging through his garbage?

 

I'm 4 times an uncle, so I'm good heading up the "no kids" cruise ship.

Fun fact: I've officially made it the farthest without an accidental pregnancy out of my siblings. So. That's neat.

 

I'm too selfish to have kids. I always forget ppl I know with kids can't just up and do things they want without it being a whole ordeal of planning around nap times and finding sitters and like leaking breast milk and I know it's so worth it to them but I barely enjoy being responsible for myself let alone someone else.

 

My dad is sick (not to bring things down even more), so him not being around by the time I have kids is something that terrifies me. I try not to think about it much.
