Dane Cook is funny. Bill Burr is funny. Both are, technically speaking, good standups

 

My ninth grade English teacher told me I'd be a good comedian cause I have good comedic timing in my speeches so bow at the presence of greatness

 

No one would ever compliment any aspect of my speaking

 

I was the class clown. My teacher told me that everyone was laughing at me not with me, so ever since that day - April 12th, 2000 - I stopped attempting to be humorous.

 

I'm pretty sure I make a lot of stupid jokes and some of them get a laugh, but since I make so many jokes the funny joke ratio seems higher than it really is

I'm having one of those days at work where it feels like everything is going wrong and it sucks.

so far I've dropped boxes of organic strawberries, grapes and kiwi everywhere.

 

I found out my microbiology professor suddenly passed away five months ago. She had been a great teacher, even though she was tough.

 

Hahahaha my mom's mom is living with her and she's texting me a storm about how annoying she is. she's feeling guilty about talking badly of family and I'm coaxing her to join the dark side. Family are just people! No harm in complaining about them when they deserve it. But she has that whole "family is family and just bury it deep down and smile and nod no matter how reprehensible they are" so I'm hoping this gets her to realize that it's stupid.

 

Ok this just happened to me but not with a date

 

my friend gave me the aux cord on our drive home from Buffalo Wild Wings and all I played was Every Time I Die and it was lit.

 

Got to run my very first Fire Prevention Week program today with our K-8 school.

Had so much fun. A 3rd grade boy told me I was pretty. And I think everyone fell in love with my Firefighter husband.

To take a break from the real world, all the BS all over the news (though I did have to inform a kid a scary clown would not be present), was so refreshing.

What have you done lately?

I had a back-and-forth yesterday with comic book artist and Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld on why Iron Fist is racially problematic.

I'm still getting some responses here and there from angry racists who think I'm the racist, lol.
