This whole working on Saturdays thing is for the fucking birds. I also stepped on glass this morning on my way to the bathroom. My French Fucking Roommate is a goddamn drunk and needs to stop breaking my fucking wine glasses and just leaving shards of glass on the floor.

 

Emma Stone from Easy A was the least elaborate of my Halloween costumes. I got hit on more tooo..go figure.

One of my friends showed up as a priest and we talked about The Scarlett Letter for a minute lol

If you weren't sure music journalism was dead, I just ran across a listicle of "Ariana Grande's 9 greatest deep cuts".
She has 3 albums. She has 13 charted songs. There are no god damn deep cuts.

I have no idea why I'm so annoyed by this, but I am.

 

for Halloween I wouldn't dress up as anything that wasn't horror related and I don't have any ideas and wouldn't want to dress as a generic zombie it anything at this point so that's one reason I don't do it

Anyway going to target to get more Halloween decorations for the apartment

Today there's a huge book sale cause the library is getting rid of old books and teachers get to fill up a bag of them for free oh yeeeeeah

 

every song is a classic to me even if it came out a week ago because I'm about that life.

I imagine I'll get some children's books which I genuinely love. Also autobiographies and memoirs of ppl I think are interesting. It's fun to read about other people's experiences and how it shaped them. I also like reading feminist/womanist lit. cause I'm super cooool. Hopefully there will be some of that there cause not many ppl here gaf about it lol. I've never read any Stephen King tho so if I see those around I think I'll get them too.

Ah see I don't read much nonfiction (or much of anything lately) because I view it as kind if a core even though I enjoy it when I do. It's a habit I need to break. Same with documentaries

 

I used to love fiction when I was younger but then I stopped reading for a while. When I started reading a lot again in college I had to read a ton of biographies/memoirs and nonfiction for class and I really loved them and have been going down a rabbit hole of them since. I do like fiction but I've become very wary of male authors and how badly they portray female characters lmao so I prob don't give as much stuff a fair shake as I should!

 

I feel like the term deep cuts implies there could possibly be songs you missed and needed this person to introduce you to. Nobody needs guidance on how to process a 3-album discography. Unless you have the attention span of a goldfish, in which case, my condolences your life must be a struggle.

 

Ah.

I always thought it was just songs that weren't singles for listeners who know nothing but the singles tbh.
