My mom is the older one, and my parents adopted me instead of biologically producing me, but otherwise, same. It's always funny hearing friends' grandparents' ages and being like, "Oh, yeah, I guess that's how it usually goes."

My mom was 30 and my dad was 28. But my mom also got married "late" by early-1980s standards.

 

I just realized that I could have been made around December/January.

I was conceived like a week after the fourth of July, some real fireworks that year I guess

 

similar - my mom married dad a month before she turned 19, I think, because her dad found out she had lived with him for two weeks or something. It was crazy.

 

My mom lied to my dad about her age and he almost had a heart attack when he found out she was 16 when he was 21. They got married when she turned 18 but still some people would prob think it's gross.

 

my parents were the same. except my dad was slightly older (25). and i would never tolerate anyone calling my parents gross.

 

As a kid i used to make fun of my older sis and would say our parents only got married cause they had her, until one day I did the math and realized they conceived me in the winter and got married that February. I was def the bullet in that shotgun.

 

My dad was 31 and my mom was 28 when they had me, though she didn't realize she was pregnant with me when she helped my aunt move and was helping lifting an armoire.

In my family, aside from another aunt and an uncle I have, all the kids have been daughters first and sons second.

I just got an influx of family wishing me happy birthday and i was confused just because I hide it's my birthday.

My mom sends me a message saying "hey your dad sent out a mass text to everyone reminding them it's your birthday."

on one hand it's great that he does that, but on the other I get embarrassed knowing it required a text from him for some people to send me birthday wishes.

 

After the c-section my mom was like, doc while you're in there how bout tying them tubes.

 

My mom does too lol That's too funny bc I've never heard of anyone else's mother saying that.

She says too, "You don't win any awards/medals for giving birth without drugs so I let them give them to me with your sister bc you almost killed me."

Yeah I don't really know what she was thinking cause my brother was over ten pounds (she had drugs for him), and I was the same. I was her last child tho so I get it lol
