Do not miss being a teenager. I was an idiot. I'm the best I've ever been at 29 and plan to keep getting better.

 

I never failed a driving test because I'm a competent person.

I automatically failed because apparently that happens if you make a right turn without merging into the bike lane first

But I also heard that Zac Brown Band show from my house lol. I just remember them doing a Metallica cover

 

I failed the first time because the parallel parking set-up confused me: I backed directly into an area marked by 4 cones that I thought was the space but apparently represented the front car. 'Cause, you know, in the real world, cars normally look like 100% empty spaces.

 

Cannot like this enough. I have a playlist that just this song and Sean Paul's "Like Glue" they just play on repeat.

 

Sounds like something they'd do!

 

I want a car that has a setup where as soon as you complete a successful parallel park in 1 try it blasts "We Are The Champions" or an equivalent anthem

 

I would watch a show of people parallel parking. rarely do you have to do it here so it's funny watching like giant monster trucks try to do it and then give up in shame as the traffic they're blocking looks unamused.

 

For some reason I suck at it when I'm in Dallas but when I'm driving in a different major city like NYC I'll nail it in one try and feel like a god

Then I come home and suck at it again

 

Honestly I think I could do it if I needed to but I wouldn't want ppl watching me lol. My car is pretty small so it would prob be easy but oh well! I've never had to do it. If I did it in NYC I'd def want the entire city to stop and applaud me

 

Not to brag, but I'm a parallel parking pro. It's fun to me cause no one else I know can do it really well. So. Yeah.

I'm boasting about parallel parking on an online forum. Life is cool.

The worst part about parking in the city is finding the parking.

 

I can parallel park amazingly on the right. Disastrously on the left. Of course I'm constantly in East Boston lately, where I have to park on the left most of the time. Sigh.

 

Everyone I know always laughs when I tell them the NJ driving test is on a closed course.


Also ironically, I drive super slow and cautious in the city, but when trying to parallel park on my street I would always go too fast.

 

Jersey driving test was great. Hit a cone parallel parking and the guy said, "Don't worry, you probably won't ever have to do it anyway." lol

 

Yeah. I'm seeing Thrice in San Francisco tomorrow, and I'm already dreading the parking there. It's the worst.

 

None of my family's cars had emergency brakes in the center console, so I got to borrow my aunt's Volkswagen Beetle for the test. I hit the curb and still passed.

 

New York drivers are always trash talking New Jersey drivers, now I know why

 

I drive in both quite regularly. Both are pretty equal.

All BMW drivers are bad tho.

 

New York drivers are so bad omg. When I went there earlier this year every single Lyft driver nearly crashed with me in the car

 

Driving in Manhattan would probably literally kill me
