I guess I was just so dumbfounded that my Doctor spent our entire appointment time..discussing using social media! I was like well shit, I use FB daily but I also come here. I don't post ALOT but i lurk every single day. Thank you so much for understanding and helping a girl out. Lots of emotions

we were trying to back out of my friends driveway and my friend told me to pay attention so he doesn't hit the fence backing out.

I proceed to stare at the dogs while he is backing up and he hits the fence without me realizing so he got upset with me.

I'm a terrible friend but the dogs were adorable.

 

for those who don't have to work today, any fun and exciting plans?

i've got a cookout at my in-laws for lunch. burgers and brats mmmmm.

I've gotten him something Marvel-related every year, and this year is no exception:

 

I have to drive 2 hours to a BBQ at my moms. I'm dreading getting gas cause all the stations will be ridic full. Also when I asked her what there'd be for me to eat there's basically nothing. Age old story of ppl expecting vegetarians to eat like salad with no protein and be full and satisfied. My nephew is supposed to be there so that's the silver lining.

 

ahh that sucks. what kind of proteins do you like to eat at BBQs?

 

I'd be cool with a black bean burger or something. I always ask if I need to bring something and people always say no and I always regret it. Once I asked at a BBQ and they said there'd be plenty, and legit the only thing for me to eat was a scoop of dry mashed potatoes. All the veggies and salads had meat lol. Like why say there'd be plenty??!

But this BBQ was kinda last minute so I don't have time to bring anything. Oh well.

 

I've never had to worry about that. On the rate occasion pumps are all being used I can just wait behind one until they're done or go to another gas station

 

I mostly have some house cleaning and setting up stuff for when my grandma and two of my aunts come visit this weekend.

 

It's bad on holidays cause the stretch from my town to my mom's is nothingness. It's all totally rural desert but a lot of people drive it to get to somewhere better. so when there's a gas station along the way it's a mess on holidays cause all the ppl stopping and all the semis trying to get through. It's not a "go to another station" scenario cause there won't be another one right away. It's people driving through and taking a million years. It's a madhouse like the mall before Xmas lol. I'll try to go in town but we're also a hotspot for people driving through from vacation and stations get crowded with big rvs and trucks lugging boats

 

Got forbid I sleep late. My mom has been bitching at me and I haven't even finished my coffee.

 

I'm sure the full service thing is a factor too, right?

 

Eh idk. Tbh if it gets busy ppl just pump their own gas anyway and it's still crowded. I think it's just a lot of tourists and tourists here are annoying and overly friendly so they'll sit and talk for 1000 years instead of moving along

 

It still hasn't sunk in yet that y'all don't pump your own gas up there.

It's nice. I sit and chill on my phone as they pump gas and wash my windshield. In and out!

People are just too stupid friendly and wanna chat forever. I don't wanna sit and wait around while ppl slow down self checkout by talking at it or wait forever at the bank cause someone is asking the tellers where they should eat lunch. Or ppl trying to tell gas attendants about their travels. Gtfo and go!

 

We have one place that does that but the gas is like $1 higher. Too rich for my blood

 

Lmao I'm such a drama queen the gas station isn't even crowded at all. Victory!

 

every time I'm in Oregon and getting gas, the gas stations are always packed and I'm like blahhhh. I know it's because Medford is the first big town and stuff but I don't like waiting.

 

Omg my grandpa smells like pot so bad and I hate that smell and we're trapped in the car together


Gas stations here are fast generally. They run to your car as soon as you pull up and stay near so you don't wait when it's done.

 

every time I see a cool hat, I always buy it and I'm the worst at that.

I just saw a Dodgers dad hat for like $10 and I bought it so now my total hat collection is at like 10 or more and there is a few hats that I bought that I haven't even wore yet.

 

My mom informed me yesterday that there might not be any meat at our aunts' thing so if you can make your way to northeast Ohio in a couple hours you shall eat well.
