Honestly speaking, you can be blunt when calling out that kind of stuff sometimes but I don't see that as a bad thing in the slightest. And it's that bluntness and "straight shooting" that has helped me learn a lot about issues that I was extremely ignorant to previously because it helped it stick with me and resonate with me. Sometimes having someone call out the bullshit in such a way helps it reach the ears of those who are listening because you're kind of "slapping them awake with words" (if that makes sense). I'd say keep doing you and keep doing what you're doing because you've helped me and I'm sure others learn a lot and we can't thank you enough for all the hard work you and others do for those types of issues

Beer is such a broader spectrum of tastes than I ever would have known until I moved near all the breweries around me. There's actually a brewery in Carson that specializes in sours, really cool spot with great food and a cool horror-themed aesthetic

 

@kaylasananjou Re: text message. If women weren't talked over or silenced we wouldn't have to use that "tone" or keep bashing our heads against a wall to explain sexism, etc over and over and over again. Keep doing what you're doing and screw whoever the text was from.

 

I mean, I'll always be more of a wine person. But it's nice to know if I get invited to a brewery I don't have to say no or anticipate feeling left out for the most part (not that I expected that when we met up last week)

 

Yeah totally makes sense. You'll want to keep an eye out for words like sour, berliner, weiss, gose or tart if you find yourself in those situations
