Now that's country

 

Brunch is only appropriate on Sundays. Mostly because there's a bar in the mall near me that has a killer brunch menu with mimosas, all you can drink coffee and a bloody mary bar.

 

How dare you comment on how we raise our children. He's a grown ass man and can feed himself.

 

That's my favorite part. I barely drive at all anymore unless it's to go see my mom or sister. Next time you guys are in the area you should let me know! First is on me for any long time member of the site.

this site is overwhelming with all the new people, I just had like 30 unread pages of this thread

 

if i could be serious for a moment, because this seems like the safest place to discuss it, i received a very lengthy text message from a dude i don't feel like naming right now about how i'm "too negative" when calling out industry sexism. he then continued to say "i worry your twitter account is getting passed over because you're always on the attack" and "several people in the industry have talked to me about your TONE." etc etc the whole thing just made me feel very shitty and like...i work really hard to stay educational unless directly attacked, and i really don't like that thinly veiled "i know people and you don't so you better listen to me because i know better" vibe... i dunno. just wanted to vent about it i guess. i think he's missing the fundamental thing about me that i would rather never ever work in music and stay on the sidelines than compromise myself and the women i stand for by trying to cater to the men causing the problems?

 

I just wanted the best for him

Goes for anyone that's already been invited to this site and is posting here right now, especially supporters, if you're ever in Portland and we can make a meet up work we'll do it, local beer (or wine or some kind of drink if you don't like beer) is on me. You guys are all the reason any of this is possible. And I can't thank you enough.

We've talked about this a lot in private and other group chats and such. But this is something I still struggle with, so just wanted to remind you I love you and support you and understand.

 

actually we have several really awesome microbrewies near here, and my favorite specifically, arbor brewing co, is like 2 minutes from where i work. they have an espresso stout that is to die for.
