Lol. My last paper in college was the first time I had ever gone to the library to check out a book. And I had a day and a half to write a 10 page paper using only book sources.

Don't do college as I did.

One of my friends tore his ACL playing dodgeball. The crazy thing is he wasn't even playing at the time he was just stood against a wall and collapsed when it snapped.

I was actually surprisingly good at dodgeball though. I couldn't throw for shit, but I could catch pretty much every ball.

Did anyone see the new Tosh.0 where that dude blows out his leg? Then he stands up and puts all of his weight on it and it goes exactly the way you don't want your leg to move?

    That was disgusting.

I've kept my hair buzzed the last two years. You literally can't beat the feeling of a buzzcut in the summer. Maybe I'll grow it out in the fall/winter.

This is me. I'm actually really good at ultimate frisbee as long as I never have to throw. I can catch anything that comes my way but couldn't throw anything and hit a target directly in front of my face

Got an A and the highest grade in the class. It was probably my best paper I ever wrote.

Unfortunately the rest of college followed that same model with not the same outcome.

I'm a great story of how being mediocre in college can screw you over after.

I always waited til last minute to write papers mainly because I'm a procrastinator. If I started writing them early, I would change things over and over again. I didn't give myself time to proofread it to death.

I really did buckle down senior year. My goal was to graduate with a 3.0. I went from a 2.6-2.7 range after my junior year to graduating with a 2.96. If I would have gotten a B in the class I just told you about as opposed to a C I would have made it.

I'm glad I had a high school English teacher who made me write a ton because now I'm good at churning out papers.

I'm a horrible procrastinator, though. Always have been, probably always will be. But at least when I actually choose to do my work, it's generally good stuff. I had a college professor who would get so frustrated because I turned in everything late and never did some of the stuff, but everything I do was such good quality that he couldn't not pass me.

I think a lot of my problem was that I did college for almost five years after high school, only got an associate's out of it before withdrawing, and then went back after a couple years out for an online program studying Christian ministry leadership... while already highly active in ministry.

It's hard to focus when you're only doing it for the dang piece of paper, and completely online.

I also had some very bad/unlucky situations happen to me that really effected my grades.

I once had a professor assign a 10 page paper but because she didn't want to grade 20-30 papers at once broke it up into random due dates and I got hit with the first due date. Due to time commitments from ROTC I ended up not having either weekend free from when it was assigned to when it was due and not granted an extension. I ended up turning it in almost a week late. So while I had two weeks to do it among everything else I had going on there were people who had it assigned to be due two months after me. That really hurt because it was a good paper just to late to make anything higher than a 70.

  19. just found out from my advisor that my grad school application was turned into a "political football" at the school he recommended me to :upside::upside::upside::upside::upside:

I've been doing the opposite ever since I got to college, hah. I've never been allowed to grow my hair very long at home because of my parents so I'm excited to finally do so. Though that was probably because it was the back of my head that would get dirty and out of control and now that I have an undercut the back is trimmed down short.

To clarify, I'm keeping the sides and back of my head short and the middle is going to be grown out long - so basically a grown-out undercut, if that makes any damn sense.

I'm a bigger guy and I just think the buzzed head with a beard combo is the best look for me. I also let my hair grow out when I was younger, and I'm scared by how I used to wear/maintain it. I like to think I have nice hair, so I'm sure I'd rock it if I decided to grow it out now.

My hair has started receding and I wish I had a beard to compensate when it's gone.

My older brother's hair has already receded further then mine, but he has a beard.
