You live in Durham? I just left back in October after a decade there. Used to get those 10 game plans for a few years. It was awesome. I got to see so many players before they hit it big, and it's such a great atmosphere too.

 

Even though it isn't super considerate of others and is a tad bit selfish, I do wish it snows a bit more tonight so college gets canceled tomorrow. They cancel for even the lightest of snow. Really don't wanna deal with responsibilities and even worse, the horrors that is Intro To Comp. Yuck.

 

That sucks :/ I forgot that was even a thing.

 

which school do you go to? my new president is from Wisconsin, so he hasn't made a snow day all winter, and delays don't affect me because my first class is at 11:30 :(

 

Would a combined Babe Thread/Sexy Best Thread, where for every person we post a picture of, we also post a video of them being awesome (or promoting something they're awesome in), so we can admire their looks and their talent, still be problematic?

 

It's a step in the right direction at least, though I'm sure it would still attract some grossness. If it happens, it should be all-gender inclusive

 

Is it that hard to keep one's pretty-person-ogling to oneself? Go nuts on google image search.

 

I think this is something we're trying to avoid, though the addition of "this is good work they do" is a nice touch. @Jason Tate gets the final call, but (I'm really tired so not entirely sure) I'm pretty sure this is something discussed during the beta that we wouldn't be doing because it makes a lot of people uncomfortable.

 

Yeah, I'm really not a big fan of it and it's definitely made a lot of people very uncomfortable in the past. It was pretty gross and objectifying and it also got more take down notices than any other thread on the entire forums. Not a fan. Like if people have private PM groups or whatever for that, I can't do anything about it, but I don't like it in the forums and I know a lot of our users find it really uncomfortable.

 

Please no babes thread that was the worst

 

I doubt I'll know it, but I studied abroad in Florence for two semesters back in '08/'09, so I'm curious about the restaurant you're talking about.

P.S. Florence is the best city in the country.

I fee like those babe threads also got racist fast? Like all the women would be white. All those "hottest women" polls, the finalists would always end up being white. Then if anyone ever said anything it'd get into the "It's just a preference!" territory and it was a mess... on top of the other creepiness.

God I hated those so much. They're pretty easy to avoid in DFW these days but when I did have to do em they always bombed. Sometimes it can be worth it...hopefully it is for you!

The thread is moving way too fast for me to keep up, but there's this small neighborhood bar in East Dallas called Go 4 It Sports Bar and Grill. Low key place, but they have some of the best wings in Dallas. If you can make it there on a Thursday after 8pm, they're 50cents... and you're likely to see me there.

Wish I could, but I hardly ever have free time. I frequent Go 4 It though, since it's like a block from where I live.

They have specials every night. $2 tequila and Tecates on Tuesdays. $3 pints Wednesdays.

 

Barcadia whenever he's out of the event he's at, he's texting me once he's out of traffic tonight, it'll be a late night thing (like 1030ish we're thinking)
