So apparently my brother and I went to the same restaurant in different cities at the same time neither of us realizing it was a chain.

I remember hearing about a wing place on reddit but I can't find the post, might you know what they were referring to? I love me some wings.

Definitely have heard great things about the Pecan Lodge.

idk maybe Pluckers? I believe thats a Texas chain

but you gotta do Texas barbecue (good texas barbecue is the best in the states), tex mex, or steaks, or some smoked quail bc thats Texas cuisine. A beef rib at Pecan Lodge will blow your mind

Oh I've had plenty of Texas BBQ (Live in San Antonio), just wondering what specifics y'all have in Dallas.

Edit: Think it was a place called Wing Bucket

Living in a rural area has given me completely unrealistic expectations of housing prices for when I decide to move. I know that I'd be paying for better location, but it still kills me that what I would pay for a tiny studio in the city, I could rent a 3 bedroom house here. The better location makes it worth it to me, but the mindset is still hard to break.

I don't know of any specific BBQ places outside of the chains here, but have had a good amount of BBQ in Austin, still need to go to Franklins some time.

idk how much money you wanna spend but I believe some of the best steak is in Dallas as well. that Bobs place I linked ranks every year as do several other chop houses in the area. for bars theres the Uptown and Lower Greenville areas. Dallas is a pretty good city, definitely not mindblowing, pretty small. Klyde Warren Park is pretty cool to sit and enjoy outside too and theres food trucks out there

Living in LA I've pretty much resigned to the fact that I won't own a house I like in a location I like for another 15-years or so. Maybe never.

I bet! I'm originally from so cal and all my fam is there so I've thought about moving back, but I'd never be able to afford anything. The PDX area is pricier than I'm used to but not like LA ridiculous so I'd like to move closer to there again. Sucks cause I kinda lucked out with my job. It's technically 2 jobs in 1 so I get double the pay. Everything I'm experienced to do pays way less than I make now.

I'm fine with spending a fair amount of money, already spent a good bit on wrestling tickets. Haven't had a good steak in a long while.

I'm going to be in NYC for a week in exactly two months for Governor's Ball, what places should I check out while there? Preferably not too pricey.

Figured so haha. I'm from San Diego though and everything here is highly priced so I guess just suggestions similar to what I pay here.

That's rough, how old is his son? I've had a rocky relationship with my dad for a long time due in part to his temper (Which I've inherited but I don't get violent thankfully), I got roughed up a few times as a kid, my brother had it even worse.

I think he's 14-15. I work in a small restaurant and the owner's son works as a dishwasher sometimes. Tonight we had a big private party in the upstairs of the restaurant so there were a lot of dishes for him to do. I didn't hear how it started, cause I was resetting all the tables upstairs, but suddenly I heard my boss SCREAAAMING like really loud and angry sounding (I couldn't understand what though cause he was speaking arabic). Then I heard a few slaps. It was so fucked.
I feel terrible about it, like I can't do nothing, but I don't know what I can do.
