I honestly haven't found anything I don't like here. It's been all positive for me.

 

Signed up on the mobile site. It's MUCH better.

 

The only thing for me is the scroll bars on quoted posts. But that's more a personal aesthetic thing. It runs so smoothly.

 

i think this could probably fix the scrolling quotes?

XF 1.2 - Is there anyway to disable the click to expand quotes feature?

I've had the chorus.fm domain for a while now, and when I bought it, it was always with the the idea in mind that it would be where I wanted to write and do stuff if I ever left AP.net. At first that was maybe just going to be a blog, but that changed as AP.net continued to get more and more frustrating. I just really like the name - for one - it's short, has a musical connotation, and is easy to remember. When it came time to move the podcast to a new name I was already thinking about this site, so I knew I didn't want to call it the same thing, I wanted it to be a part of it. I also knew that calling the podcast Encore, since it was smaller, would be easier to do — I wouldn't have to go try and get that domain (or fight with the TV network). I like them being two separate entities, but part of a whole. I think Chorus/Encore go well together and it all fits together as part of a whole.

I think that kinda explains it — hah — if it doesn't let me know.

I can't go into too much detail at the moment, as I'm working on the logistics and full details of all that, but the plan is to sunset AP.net and point that domain to chorus.fm and the forums in the not to distant future. These forums will be the second half of the new site - chorus.fm will be the content, this will be the community.

 

thank you for being so candid. it's one of the reasons i've been visiting ap.net over the years and why i'll be just as active on chorus.fm for many more.

 

Are you on Windows? What browser? They shouldn't show ... so I'll add that to my bug list I'm about to go tackle.

 

Makes sense, I imagined that's what you thought, from a branding perspective I was a little surprised to not keep the same name, but the "two parts of a whole" makes a whole lot of sense.
