We actually don't live together currently, but I don't think anything has significantly changed in her house recently. And he was just at the vet about a week ago and passed his exam with flying colors, so whatever it is happened extremely recently. He completely disappeared for about 3 days and she thought he got outside and ran away, but he was hiding in the basement the entire time, which is unusual for him as he is typically quite social. I'm mostly concerned that he isn't eating, he looks a lot skinnier and frail than he usually does.

 

it definitely sounds like he may have picked something up :/ like i said, cats are REALLY secretive when they're suffering, so it's not uncommon to not know that something was wrong at all.

Thats good to know, I'll have to pass that along to her. We're both used to dogs, and it's typically pretty easy to tell when a dog is in distress, ha. Thank you for the help, I think for now shes just going to monitor him (before she leaves) and her aunt offered to stop by during the week and check up on him.
