The local rock station played Headstrong on super heavy rotation back in the day, you couldn't escape it.

I remember one of the radio stations here was robbed and they played the same song (can't remember what it was) back to back to back since all of their music was stolen. It was pretty funny.

And now I'm on Wikipedia. Trapt (album) went platinum. "Headstrong" was the 8th most played rock song of the 2000s on radio. "Send the Pain Below" by Chevelle knocked it out of #1 on the radio charts at the time.

What was everyone's 1st album that you bought with your own money? Mine was Tragic Kingdom - No doubt. I was only like 10 or so and used my allowance to buy it.

  11. Never owned a Smashmouth or Trapt CD, but I loved the singles and would probably buy both if I found them at a yard sale.

I'm pretty sure mine was Smashmouth's self titled. Or No Pads, No Helmet, Just Balls by Simple Plan.

....I also bought R. Kelly's Chocolate Factory. Hahahah, what a weird taste in music I had.

Trapt's singer used to just go by Chris Brown and started adding in his middle name because of what Chris Brown did so he wouldn't be accidentally associated with Chris Brown.

I don't remember the first album I ever bought with my own money. Maybe Weird Al.

Growing up though it was all about Linkin Park, which led me to System Of A Down and Disturbed in middle school, which led me to Three Days Grace, Papa Roach, and Breaking Benjamin in high school.

It is truly awful and embarassing to look back on.

First album I bought with my own money was definitely Meteora (edited post cuz of my dumb mistake). I can't think of anything else it could've been.
