So if you're a supporter, you lose your prestigious badge? support trumps prestige?

haha! alright that wasn't funny. but it was accurate.

 

It wouldn't be the choices as much as the sheer volume of it haha. I'm very vocal about my love for both tracks but the play count would be so far above everything else I'd start second guessing what I've been doing with all my time.

My "100 plays of Kiss From A Rose" playlist will forever be classic though

 

How do you go prestigious on the new site?

 

you see it on profile and mini profile, but yeah supporter displays over prestigious on posts. might be cool to have an option to choose which displays @Jason Tate

The best feature of the site so far is the auto-update in terms of notification. Quells my obsessive need to refresh every now and then for quotes

 

yeah i was looking for it yesterday and ended up having to go to "latest" to find a track and then click on the "track" label to actually get to the seciton. even going to the BNM section didnt pull up best new tracks, just records. made it really annoying.

Pitchfork HAS to be getting less views on their album reviews too. Just the simple fact that you have to scroll down from the main landing page is a stupid move on their part. I never see the new reviews anymore

I only really ever go there for news, but with their old site I would always see the 5 reviews for the day, and sometimes click through. Now that I don't see them, I don't click through.

Yup exactly haha. I don't go there for news anymore either but yeah, it was so convenient seeing what got reviewed right when the site loaded and reading it out of curiosity. At this point I only go there for end of year lists to see what I missed.

 

I think this is the year I become an old person in terms of seeking out and discussing new music. I've heard, like, 10 or so records this year

 

I mentioned before, but even reading the news is hard now. Previously the main page had a "news" button, and boom i am there. Now I have to click "The Latest" and then "news." It's a tiny annoyance, but it really makes a difference

Ya, I've listened to each of those once or twice, HINDS, Bowie, DJDS, 1975 and Pinegrove. I'm trying to think what else came out this year that has stuck with me.

Overall, I've returned to EVOL, Pinegrove and Hinds and really nothing else aside from some tracks. Mainly listen to podcasts in my free time/driving. Or old records
